Yep Anfield '89 for me too ! Most Arsenal fans in their 30's and 40's would agree too I reckon as it would have been the first time they would have seen their team win the title and that would be special !

To me i'd rather go with a moment rather than the 49 game run
Only a Gunner since 91 (in which was a good year to be born in 8) ) most of the succes is from the Wenger era as i'd be too young to remember the championship run, the cup double & parma 94
Anfield was a wonderful moment & my Dad says how it is being there & i even watch Fever Pitch thinking dam i know thats a film but imagine how the Arsenal fans did party
With no more upper street afternoons for FA cups :( only the league or the CL will be allwed to be parded around Islington & it will be strange taking that new route to the hall
When we did win the cup it wasn't as special as for one it was all the way in cardiff & two Islington pushes around there only landmark & say no to it & make excuses up
I hope in the near future that we will win the CL & i was blessed being there for our 1st time & put that into my personal top 10 despite losing it

Any Arsenal fan who has seen it whether remembering at the time or watching it on a Video or DVD when they were old enough will agree that Anfield '89 is the greatest Arsenal moment.

I think that even if we had won the CL two years ago Anfield '89 should still have won just because of the odds stacked against us.

As a person who watched it later and still gets a shiver and goosebumps every time the ball bounces down in front of Mickey I cant see how this was not number 1 :?:

Totally agree.
Anfield '89 can, even now, bring a tear to my eye and Im not kidding!
And when you put the game into context (Liverpool were the most successful side of that era and the form team at the time, Arsenal hadnt won at Anfield for donkeys years, no team had won by 2 goals at Anfield for ages etc etc) the result was all the sweeter and will never be forgotten by those that saw it.

In almost 20 years since, there have been very few moments to rival the impact of that Mickey Thomas goal.

It is was level on Points and goal difference.

'Boring', 'negative' and 'defensive' George Graham's Arsenal won that title from 'exciting', 'attacking' Liverpool on more goals scored.

We also 'stole' it, despite being in the top two since October and 19 points ahead of Liverpool in February.

I think you also had to add our wobbles in the last two games against Derby and Wimbledon into the 'against the odds' category. We looked a lot like Newcastle in 1996
