Just been having a look at flights and seems an option would be to fly from Stansted to Pescara and get train/bus across. Flights going out Tuesday coming back Thursday only £55 per person with Ryanair. Pescara only about 100 miles away from Rome. Can't find train ticket prices but bet it will be cheaper this way than getting direct flights!
Although Pescara looks nearer, the train journey is shit (4 hours, all mountains) best bet is Naples or Florence. High speed train is 2 hours and much much cheaper than UK.Skooner wrote:Just been having a look at flights and seems an option would be to fly from Stansted to Pescara and get train/bus across. He mentioned you can do it the Naples way but he says Pescara is eassier and less crowded whilst being the same distance.Skooner wrote:Good point on the train journeys, Naples is miles better, flights the same price but with easyjet and train looks around £40 and take less than 2 hours.
Hmm, calculator time to see if I can afford to go.
Gus, much as I hate to call your boss a liar if he can find a train from Pescara to Rome that takes less than 3 1/2 hours i will pay for the tickets.gus ceasar is a legend wrote:Right I have an Italain from Rome sitting next to me.
Pescara to Rome is about 2 hours by train. He knows a few travel companies and different routes so I have the wap on the case!

He has told me that it is 120 kilometres away and that the train is about 2 hours!
He is Italian so I would trust him with fuck all!

Nah, by then Arsene would have bought two experienced, dominating centre halves in the January transfer window, wouldnt he?g88ner wrote:This has probably already been mentioned, but Baptista plays for Roma...
he's just the type of player that will come back to haunt us, and show us exactly why he's called THE BEAST!![]()
he was more like a pussycat for us, but he'll probably give our defence a good raping!![]()
