you were lucky we had to show our passports, then again me being ex-firm etcSkooner wrote:Yeah, there was no checks going on at all last season at San Siro, they couldn't get us through the gates quick enough. Absolute free for all for seats as well, we showed our seat number to steward but he just said anywhere. Luckily enough we chose a spot right in line Cesc's strike.
What a moment that was!

Its **** juniors birthday on the 12th so it would be a nice pressie for him
I've already booked my flight old chap.
Leaving the day before and going back the day after. Have no match ticket but what the heck ! I'll get one later.
Two nights and three days in the 'Eternal City'. Too good to miss !!!
I've never been there before so it's a prospect to savour.

You never know your luck...........your good Friend 'Basil' may be doing just the same, so get yourself out there...........wine, romance and an Historic Arsenal Victory...........what more could one ask......?........

Yes I have heard that side of matters...........NOT NICE...........hopefully we will be well protected.......

I went to Roma last time we played them. Lovely city, crap stadium to be honest because you are so far away. We only took a couple of thousand last time so the 'away' section was half empty. Home fans are kept well away from you but several of them had laser pens and kept shining them in Arsenal fans eyes throughout the game. Not a great atmosphere, although we did stuff 'em!
Had no trouble in the city at all. It's very expensive to stay there, we booked a 4 star hotel and the room was about 10 feet square!! Cost over £120 for the night, but was in a decent position, not far from the main station (slightly dodgy area). All the sights are within walking distance except the Vatican!
Oh, and someone said Milan was a nice city!!?? You are having a laugh!! I've been there twice and it's a horrible place, very industrial. I've been to several Italian cities to see Arsenal/England and Milan is the worst by a LONG way.

Cities of similar size in Britain (Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester?) don't come close! only my opinion though.
I agree that Italy has some far nicer places though.. Southern Italy is great, the Italian Alps are spectacular, and Rome has more history than you can shake a stick at (expensive though

It's just a great country.. and then there's the Italian food and wine!

At Milan last season we had to show our passports or photo driving licence with the tickets to get in.
Had to do this at two different checkpoints on way in, to armed police with sub machine guns..so I would not risk trying to get past!
I liked Milan, yes it is industrial but the centre was classy and had things to see and had a really good pizza there.
If you really wanna go to the game **** and cannot get tickets the club do some executive trips with flight hotel and tickets included.
