As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
It sucks living in Canada because someone has something to say about my comment but I don't see it till the next and by then the thread's on the next page !
Anyway,

not so easy to do that . we need one central midfielder to protect the defence and break up play ( gilberto ... diaby etc ) . fabregas is a definate starter also . so thats two central midfield spots gone .
That's why I said if Wenger would "somehow" keep him in the centre. I know it's getting crowded in there. I hope we don't play 4-5-1 next season because I think a two pronged attack from v.Persie and Da Silva will cause major concerns amongst opposing defenders. By the way, I'm one of the believers that think Da Silva is going to hit the ground running.
I hate to make references to Barcelona given our recent history with them but I do follow them closely as well and I agree with another poster that mentioned Hleb would be more effective if he cut in from the outfield and made some runs towards the centre to support the two strikers like a Deco or a Messi.
I hope I don't get booted off this forum for uttering their names but that's what I think.

I told you! some of us are going to have to start sleeping in the afternoon!
Hleb is the conumdrum. He can't play out wide and there's not enough space for him in the centre attacking.
I'm spending far too much time thinking about Hleb! My head hurts again!
It will be interesting to see where he plays when we have all our strikers fit and available. All the goals he had scored in pre season and at the start of the season have been when he played as a supporting striker. The goals might dry up if he has to play on the wings again. But regardless he has been mighty impressive so far.
