Anelka & Martins. Discuss...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Although I know it's unlikely to happen, I would love Anelka because he would give us the ball over the top option that we lack now that Henry has gone.

That is the reason why we will find opposition defences playing a higher line against us this season as we no longer have the threat of real pace down the middle for them to worry about.

Both very talented but worry about attitude, Martins did go missing, AWOl, last season for Newcastle and Anelka's problems are well known. Is their attitude right just when we have a united team? They would add pace but with 4 strikes already, Vela and Walcott to come through, not sure we really need a 5th.
