Funniest "put down" or rebuke you've ever heard...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I had noticed that actually. Only last night I was wondering, "When is Wayno going to grow a set of balls and say what he thinks?"

I was thinking "when is Wayno gonna chuck a pint over a woman's tits in a crowded pub?"

God I miss that place
that car wasn't exactly a bird pulling magnet!
Is he still over on Oz? Last I knew was that Ange was still in Pafos but everyone else had gone.
We were there last July and Ange was still there, we almost met up for a drink but it didn't quite happen. John, Laurie and their mum and dad were back in Oz. Their dad had had a stroke a bit before that.

I'm going again in April - will see if I can find out if anyone's still around. I did have Ange's mobile number so will maybe try it out to see if its still working.

Definitely the best bar there - haven't found anything to replace it

Yeah I agree. No other bar even comes close. We are back over for three weeks in June staying at the villa (our last time there though as we've actually sold it)
There is one nice place to spend an evening and it is a bar called "Pinguino's". It's on Poseidonous avenue towards Starbucks and the view from there is right along the seafront. Not much atmosphere but a nice place to sit, chill out and people watch.
There is one in Coral Bay that is okay. I can't remember what it is called but it is on the corner halfway down on the right. Gets quite lively there. If you want a really good meal somewhere a bit different then head off to the square in Tala. They have a chef now from the Ivy. The food is second to none and from the bistro you can look out over the coastline. Saturday nights are best as they have live entertainment.

god I can't wait to get back there 8)

I think we're having a private off topic conversation here, Spuddy!

I'll give those two a try - bit far maybe to stagger home drunk from - we've got a small apartment on Regina Gardens.

I was told Tramps was ok, but the nights we've been in there its been dead. Although this was April - perhaps different in July or August. OH wants to try Bar Street - I think we're both too old!

I do like Tala - my favourite is the Stamna tavern off the main square -looks like someones garage but amazing meze.

Is that up near Universal? Don't stagger home, drive!!!! If you have red plates you can do whatever you want. Oh how I'm looking forward to red plates again

Crap at night but the best breakfast in Pafos by a country mile

Yeah thats quite good there. The square bistro is next to the little kiosk. Really would recommend it. If Neil James is singing in there then it is a must. He is as good as I've heard anywhere. Just cannot believe he never made the big time.

Do you know the Capital Coast place on Tombs of the Kings Road? The unfinished hotel that was unfinished for a long time, then Kouroushi Bros bought it, built another block and turned it into a timeshare place? And with it brought what seems like 50 thousand timeshare scratchcard sellers to Paphos. Regina's opposite that, back inland a tiny bit. There's a decent sized bit of waste ground in front of it that nothing ever seems to happen to.

Don't think we will have a Z Car in April - the guy in the Karlina said he had an old banger we could have for a fortnight on the cheap. He used to drive a Jag - now he's got a Merc - I hope the old banger is the Jag!

Ah yes I know where you are! The woman that does the quiz at Karlinas on a wed/thu night is a very good friend of mine. Say hello to her if you see her. her name is Janet.

Be really carful with the car because I can absolutely guarantee you he will not have any insurance for you.

You'll have to let me know what the new arrivals area is like as they've opened the new terminal at the airport now. The missus is arriving without me (lucky bitch) and a bit of knowledge would be good. It will save me getting a panic call from the airport when she gets there.
