has anyone actually played football to a "decent"

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Happy days though.
Anyone make it from your year?
Okay fess up time before this gets to carried away.

Yes I was a YTS, and yes I was also at Arsenal. But not as a young player but a coach.
You naturally believed I was a player  :D

Based in the JVC we used to go out to the local schools and provide the sports curriculum. (football, hockey, short tennis & Cricket).
Also Soccer Schools around Herts in Half term.

Othen looked down upon by the 'real' YTS but we beat them in a 7-a-side.
I'm sure Cashley was playing!?!
Was at the time of the Colney Fire and the youth team had to use the JVC.

Brady did his nut! :banghead:  :D

Also the lines works well in a night club went down well.........small group of (fairly) athletic men (mainly)
"We're YTS at Arsenal Darling!"

Big hightlight which I embraced was old school circuit training up and down the steps of the Clock end and North bank. along with sprint work pitch side.
What a setting!!!!
