WTF has gone on. I only use this forum during the week, basically when i'm at work and i come in on a monday to this...
One of the reasons i started my weekly guess the attendance thread was because there is nearly always some form of abuse on any given thread and the guess the attendance one is one of the few on here where all of the above plus newbies and other regular posters have all had a say and not a single piss take or abusive comment has been made to any one else. If you can do it for a laugh you can be sensible and carry it on elsewhere.
Whatever gus, wayno, Quartz decide, take a lesson from this and lets all play nice.

Radford would like to point out to Glasso that the abuse that plumbuk directed towards him is way beyond the "abuse" that Radford gave to Calo (which if you actually looked at it was playful) and Radford and Calo have pm'ed (is that a word) each other and lets say giggled at things. therefore Radford suggest that Glasso is wrong.

Radford and I are going to respect each others view more - we dont agree much BUT alot of it is banter - But we have to agree to disagree from now on with no fighting.

Wayno, Gus and Quartz were pretty key in keeping me on this forum when i first joined about a year ago. I agreed and disagreed with all three of them. But they offered that blend of banter, intelligent chat and randomness that every forum needs to stay fresh. They were all regular posters and gave a good flavour of what you could expect to see on here. They all responded pretty accordingly to my posts in their own unique way, and you get to know these 'virtual' people and understand what they are trying to say, even if you disagree with the wording.
The remarks made to Quartz were quite harsh and a little uneccesary and i'm really disappointed to read the contents of that thread. I can only imagine that it just started badly and got out of hand and on any other day it could have been a lot more sensible, maybe not but i would like to think so.
I agree with other posters that Quartz's post were very intelligent and well thought through, but so were Gus and Wayno's, except they often posted a lot of other material and non football related stuff, but that should not detract from the more meaninful posts.
Its a real shame that these guys have decided to move on and i hope they come back in with some new user names and perhaps start afresh with this behind them.
This does bring to a head the sad fact there is a real habit for threads to turn nasty pretty quicly on here. People are fully entitled to their own opinion and it should be left at that. Someone who has posted no abuse, only what they think should be treated respectfully and if you disagree convince them otherwise and if you can't so be it.
