Bendtner Vs Jo
Jo is 1yr older but fact is he doesnt have players like AA, Cesc, Robin, Nasri e.t.c to assist him but yet scores with his FEET.
For all the running around that Nick does I still fear that if he has the final chance of the CL final to win us the game he will miss.
Am I wrong to think that Jo is better then Nick or should I wait till he is 22 like Jo?

And how many times has he missed a sitter? How many times has he blazed over from 6 yards out? I know he's only 21 but at this moment in time, not good enough for Arsenal.hadareud wrote:let's see:
Jo
8 goals and 4 assists in 28 games this season (19 starts)
6 goals and 2 assists in the league (13 starts)
Bendtner
11 goals and 4 assists in 37 games this season (22 starts)
6 goals and 2 assists in the league (13 starts)
I fail to see the alleged superiority.
The mark of a bad striker is not to miss chances. It's not getting the chances in the first place.
As you say - he's young. I am certain that his scoring rate will improve and that he will miss fewer chances in the future.
What counts is that he's won us games and he's changed games when he came on.
In other words - he's good enough for Arsenal at exactly this moment in time.

Im not saying youre right or wrong, but you gotta think about the team Bendtner is playing in and the team Jo is/was playing in.hadareud wrote:let's see:

agreed. But it's not like those clubs score massively less goals than we do. Everton have scored 6 goals less than us and City 4 games less than us.
But of course Bendtner has more or better opportunities than Jo, no denying that.
But I know that I'd rather have a player who is hungry and changes games with his workrate and by creating space for others with his power than an overrated and overpaid Brazilian that scored a few of goals in two 4-0 wins recently.

Jo 16games 6goals 3assists 2.7goal ratio
Bendtner 23games 6goals 2assists 3.9goal ratio
and as I said before Jo doesnt play with Cesc and Co.
slightly misleading.
Bendtner played 1316 minutes in the league, Jo 1188. If you actually really want to break it down then Bendtner scored every 220 minutes, Jo every 198. One of Jo's goals was a penalty btw, discounting that goal would take Bendtner ahead of him again. About that 3rd assist - according to Opta he has 2, according to Actim 3.
Also, Bendtner played many of those games without Cesc btw.

hard to make a comparison with the 2, jo doesnt look much in my opinion and is not worth the 19m that city payed for him ,i don't think nic is good enough for the arsenal either but he tries so will support him because of that, his finishing is atrocious and he really must improve that part of his game

Hence why I wrote Cesc and Cohadareud wrote:slightly misleading.

In the top 20 assists in the league, Arsenal have got 4players with a total of 30 while Everton only have 2players with a total of 13 and Citeh 1player with 7assist
That being the case Bendtner would have had more chances to score than Jo
Bendtner 55shots 24shots on goal
Jo(both everton and citeh) 37shots 15shots on goal
dont have time to do the math but am sure you would find that shots/goal ratio favours Jo[/b]

Re: Bendtner Vs Jo
Not quite sure why the debate on these two players but to answer your original question, Yes, wait, because I'm pretty sure that Bendtner will improve, especially his finishing. (He's got to hasn't he?)GunnerDude wrote:Jo is 1yr older but fact is he doesnt have players like AA, Cesc, Robin, Nasri e.t.c to assist him but yet scores with his FEET.

Everton score more goals with their direct play, plenty of high balls and crosses. Something a tall player like Bendtner (or Jo for that matter) will find useful.
Again, Everton only scored 6 goals less than us. you make it sound like it's 20.
