BEST
Jennings/Seaman (half each !!)

Anderson
Adams
O'Leary
Sansom
(how odd that I have chosen so few of arguably the greatest back 4 in English history)

Rocastle
Vieira
Brady
Pires

Henry
Bergkamp (for me the greatest Arsenal player ever)

Close but no cigar to Campbell, Wright, Petit, Overmars
Notable mention to Supermac, just because I idolised him when a kid.

WORST

Barnett

Stepanovs
Mancini
Caton
Ceaser
(clearly struggling for full-backs !!)

McGoldrick
Hillier
Helder

Hawley
Hankin
Chapman (pretty scary that all three strikers were at the club at around the same time trying to fill Stapleton's boots - great days eh !!)

with my bad team selection i've decided to do something a little different, i have included one player in each position that is a present or former Arsenal legend but considering them on the basis of how shit they were at the start or the end of their arsenal career, these players will have in brackets what point in their career when they were shit.

GK) Seaman (the one that lost us the title in '03)

DF) Kolo (anyone remember the horror that was left back Kolo in his first season for us? how the hell is that the same player we have now?)
DF) Cygan
DF) Stephanovs
DF) Ceasar

MF) Parlour (pre wenger era)
MF) McGoldrick
MF) Helder
MF) Hillier

FD) Henry (first few games for us, Shocking!)
FD) Aliadiaire

What? No mention in anyone's worst team for the foxes in box Jeffers & Baptista? How about the wing wizard who was Kris Kiwomya? And the deperate time wasting tactic that was bringing on Remi Garde?

Can't put the likes of Bastin in as I never saw him, but my eleven and subs are:

GK - Jennings
LB - Winterburn
CB - Adams
CB - O'Leary
RB - Sansom
LM - Overmars
MF - Rocastle
MF - Brady
RM - Pires
FW - Bergkamp
FW - Henry

Subs: Seaman, Keown, Vieira, Merson, Wright, George.

Worst ever players would be bootboys/batchcleaners:
Caesar (sorry Gus), McGoldrick, Jensen, Nicholas

I can only base my team on players I have seen (I have been going since 1982/83). My best team is:

Pascal Cygan
Igors Stepanovs
Eddie McGoldrick (the worst player ever at Arsenal)
Alberto Mendez
Ian Selley
Jimmy Carter

Not much original here, but has anyone else noticed that lots of George Graham's 1990s signings make the "worst" lists? Says a lot for what he did post 1991.

I have made a huge mistake on my worst team and I have to apologise to Ian Selley - if you ever read this Ian, please note that I am sincerely sorry and take it all back. I forgot (and so did most by the looks of it) about STEFAN MALZ!

Message to "collins" - anyone who saw Gio play at left-back for us will know why I selected him there!

All Arsenal 1886,

You've got your Left and Right Backs the wrong way around!!

Having watched Arsenal since the late sixties, this is much too difficult for me so I'm not even going to attempt to pick a team. Unless, of course, it consists of at least 30 players!! 8)
