Could you forgive Thierry....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I really don't think he would.

The guy was a legend for Arsenal, and I'd be confident that IF he scored against us, he would act with respect and dignity unlike that ratfaced *word censored* who celebrated his goal and Sp*rs' 4-4 draw with us like he'd won the flaming World Cup final

Don't think Henry was a choker either tbh, think back to 1-5 Inter, 0-1 Madrid and who could forget the hat-trick he scored against the mousers in the Invincible season and bein brought off the bench half-fit to flick that ball across Robinson to stop the Spuds beating us on a day when we couldn't buy a goal!

I actually think that moniker is more suited to Ronaldo as he is a good player made to look better by defences composed of journeymen but he is nowhere near as prolific when he comes against top drawer defenders and can be effectively marked out of a game much easier than when King Henry was at his peak!

I always wish him to do well in his football career except playing against us. If we have no chance to win the CL this year, I want Barca to win it as simply as that. He plays in a big part of our success in the last 10 years.

And I am sure he will not celebrate for his goal if he plays against us. Gooners or Gunners are for life.

Personally I wouldnt want to play against the man again purely cos I feel that he would know our weaknesses and know how to exploit them. Add that to the fact that our players show far too much respect to too many players, never mind former team-mates and friends, then I would be worried :worried: As for the whole forgiving thing I have to say that wouldnt really concern me as I only view henry as a component of our greatest ever team but he was never in the heart like PV4, Bergkamp and TA6 were
Dont think they did that against Vieria and Juve, Milan, Madrid, Roma or even Barca in the final. Recent history shows we dont give a fuck about big named teams

To be fair dude you are talking about a different team with older and more mature players than what we currently have - nowadays we have a team with too many kids who have yet to prove that they can mix it physically with the best of them
Excluding Flamony and Bleb its still the same team that did well against the others in the "top 4" last season and so far this year. As for physically, only chelski pose that threat and even more so now that injuries have plagued us.

It would all depend if he celebrated or not. I think a lot of fans love relationship with thierry would end if he did

All valid points about if he celebrated or not and how we all loved him and wish him well.

But my point was more about the fact that on our night of destiny ((C) The Sun) he choked 2 clear chances that he would have tucked away in a normal league game but failed to do so when it mattered the most. And against Barca. Now he is playing for Barca and say we meet them in the final and he scores... how hard done by would you feel towards him personally? Why did he choke for us, but then delivered against us? You get my drift?

On the TH14 Legend dvd he sez that missing out on the Cup was his one regret of his time at Arsenal and that he failed to take advantage of the main one on one as he had nothing left in his legs

I doubt the reason he chocked for us or would score against us for barca(if he does) is to do with WHO hes playing for. Its not like "ah he didnt love us as much or he would of scored), he is paid to score and if he does hes just doing what he must. If he scored againts us i would be pissed off but not due to it being henry who has scored againts us but just the fact we have conceded.

One of my worst feelings about it is that DB10 didn't get on and that he didn't win the CL. A player of his quality without a CL medal and crunts like sherringcunt and the neville sisters have won it... disgrace really. :(

Not really.... most of the oldies had gone when we beat Madrid and Juve, they'd all gone when we beat Milan and Roma (second time around)
