How can something organised by an Arsenal supporters group for Arsenal supporters be such a rip off?

You pay a fiver to get in to then pay four quid for piss weak Carling. Where is the value in that for any Arsenal supporter?

I appreciate people going to lengths to try and organise something for others to enjoy but why do it if it means your fellow Gooners have to pay well over the top?

People on here are moaning about the cost of food/beer inside Wembley but a pint was actually cheaper in the ground than it was inside that shithole.

A lot people put a lot of time and effort into organising the do so that Arsenal supporters would have somewhere decent to drink by Wembley as there is fuck all else round there. I can assure you that no-one was 'conned' and a lot of money was raised so a little girl can fully enjoy the few weeks she has to live. If you were so concened about the 'rip-off' prices why didn't you buy a few tins stand outside or better still stay at home and watch it on the tv. Moaning about a FIVER on the door, do me a favour, absolute no-mark mug.

you think its expensive there. Over here in ireland in my local 4 pints of lager would cost 17.20euros which is approx about £16 sterling and i live in a small town .The same 4 pints in dublin would cost about 20 euros if not more. Now thats expensive.
This is great for Irish Gooners.

Come over here for a match. Drink yourselves silly. Pay for match ticket and flight. Still save a fortune. :D

Had a good time before the game in the sun out the back, went home with the hump after the game so did not go back in there. You can't please all the people all the time...

Best wishes to the young girl who the money was being raised for. My thoughts go out to all her family too.

Firstly, if that is the case that money was being raised for a little girl then thats great, but was that advertised?? Think if people knew that then maybe even more money would have been raised.I don't remember that being said.

Secondly is there any need to calling people no mark mugs??? Childish to say the least!!!

There were buckets on the door and we were asked to put a pound in each, the guy on the door just said it was for a little girl. If I had known the full extent I would have put more in.

Had an awesome time yesterday, good times despite the result. In hindsight getting there at 1pm may have not have been the best of moves as we were steaming by the time kick off came round, top stuff. :barscarf:

Just got a call from a friend who post on here saying that people are moaning about the prices in the venue, the prices are set buy those that own the venue and it was clearly stated before hand £4 a pint or 3 drinks for £10 so i cannot see why any one has any thing to moan about there, the only tickets that should of been sold for £5 before hand was those that were sent for by post, unless somebody bought a load of tickets and sold them at a profit to themselfs and not those that put a lot of time and effort in to make sure we got this venue, as ref has already stated Chelsea, Pompey, Spurs have allused this for previous wembley visits as well as Everton today and they have all charged £10 admission, Everton infact sold 2000 advance sales with no payment on the door, but we managed to get it a little bit cheaper because we knew the venue owner/s

not as though i/we have to explain cost but i will

out lay
the cost of the venue to hire was £4500
door staff £1400
cleaners after event had finished £250

which works out to a total of £6150

Money taken
Advanced tickets sales 1500@ £3. £4500
500 @ £5 cash on door £2000
total moneys taken £6500

The DJ/S waved there fees
price of printing tickets/posters £50

Which left a profit of £300 but are moaning are we hell apart from the odd one or two on here , we worked our socks off to get this venue time and effort it was a stones throw from our entrance/s and yet somebody still finds the need to moan, well done to all those who chipped in to help the little girl fund which i am pleased to add raised a total of £1600

I wasn't there personally, (wish I had been now) but well done Spanner and co, and a good sum raised.

I am very glad the poor girl had money raised for her. People who know me know that a childs life means nothing more to anyone than me and I gladly gave to the collection so let's put that one to bed now.

Sorry you got hassled Spanner because of my thread but as you can see I said I was appreciative of the effort.

However, being called a no mark mug and someone who knows fuck all is a bit daft. All I asked was why the beer was so dear. Is that not a valid comment? How many of you pay 4 quid a pint normally?

Reg, if you was so informed as you made out you could have told me about the costs etc instead of accusing me of knowing fuck all. You didn't really say anything that justified £4 a pint, just went on the attack.

NBN, no mark mug? Righ oh! Been watching Danny Dyer films a lot lately?

Spanner thanks for the info. It was never a pop at the organisers as I tried to explain, more being pissed off at the price of a pint.

If that is genuinely what the venue charges then fair enough as there is nothing you can do about that. Still the fact stands £4 for a Carling is a bit steep. So again. this is in no way disrespectful to you, the venue management are robbing *word censored* as they have a captive audience due to Wembley being a hole on an industrail estate.

Nice try though fellas with the effort to make me look like an uncharitable bastard who begrudges an ill kid a few quid to make their short lives better.

If you wanna know why you fall so flat on your face with that then PM me and I will gladly tell tou.

Spanner, you have no need to explain the prices. Everyone I spoke to thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciated all the hard work you guys did to get it going. Nice to see you again btw

When in a night club you pay night club prices

When in Rome we paid Rome prices 6 euros a pint
When in Villar Real we paid Villar Real prices 5 euros half pint but there again we was in the same hotel as the Arsenal players

Fair enough Spanner again but we wasn't in Rome we was on an industrial estate in Sudbury.

Last word on this is well done for organising it, glad for the little girl and I hate Carling even at £1.50 a go!
