im with you here guys, i was gonna right, but its hte most obvious aint it?? rio should have been off, rooney should have been booked etc. god knows how long our unbeaten run could have been if it werent for that matchBelfast Boy wrote:GoonerJim wrote:As soon as I saw the thread title I new right away which match STILL makes my blood boil and it's when Freddie knocked it past Ferdinand who was last man and surprised by our No.8's change of pace and knowing that he'd been done, and Freddie was clean thru he just took him out, the ball was about 10ft away and there wasn't another player in sight, yet that completely useless prat, Mike Riley didn't do a f**kin thing other than completely bottle it!RocastleRock wrote:Has too be 49 games un-beaten until that fat twat wayne roony took a dive and the ref gave manure a pen which ended the run!!! comfortable 0-0 was on the cards... that pen then made us have to attack which resulted in another goal... Bastards.... it had too be them didnt it... still hurts..
I mean as far as the pen goes, refs will always miss those, especially incompetent ones like Norman Riley, but the only excuse for missing that incident is that it was ManUre at OT and it was made even worse by the fact, that Ferdinand went on to get MOTM, and ManU proved their status as the No.1 club in the land, by the same method as they managed to play at OT for 8 years without havin a penalty awarded against themmakes our three titles all the more remarkable!

also chelsea at home in the champs lge - not really an incident but i have no doubt if we had beaten them we would have gone on to win the champs league that season.

I don't know if I understand correctly what you are trying to say - that I hate immigrants?
Sorry if you got that impression but I don't. I only refered to immigrants to reflect that we have so many nationalities playing for our team (which I don't have any problem with) or to make fun of one of our daily trash papers, "The Sun", who like to scare everyone in the country.

how about the hampsters win over us 05/06 .. most remembered by AW's bust-up with their then w*nker of a mgr ... the goal was outrageous, and came from one of our players being knocked over, and rest of the defending players pausing for an obvious freekick to be awarded .. then, goal .. and it stood ...
that coupled with that wanker mgr's antics in front of AW, was enough to get even the pope to blow his lid ... if it was me in AW's shoes, I would have rushed in a wicked hook b4 anyone came in-between us ...
add this to all the times (in recent years) that referees have outrageously collaborated in teams practicing their new UFC skills against us ... ala, blackburn, bolton, shef united (hope they never get back to the prem) ...

the F.A cup final against Liverpool ( was it 2000 or 2001 , cant remember ) . Henchoz stopped the ball on the goal line with a deliberate handball , should have been a penalty and a straight red but nothing was given. The fact that we completely dominated and eventually went ahead , only to lose to 2 late Owen goals made that earlier decision even more heinous . I still cant let it go .

Sorry home i dident mean that far, but definitly my way of thinking difers from yours a lot, and i was pist when i read it first but dont worry man im coo.
The reason why i react like this for emigrants is that since is was born i was treated in my own land as an emigrant by serbians, u have no idea how mutch i hate this word and u beter dont make me think how mutch hate some nations of europe when i read history and find out why we were ocupied by serbians, u have no idea how mutch i mis the dday when i will walk in my streats ( i mean the streats of Independet Kosovo) only then i will fill free, i still dont go out at night and i still cant go in some places of Kosovo because im kosovar Albanian and im not wanted by serbians, and Kosvo is not even biger than London.![]()

I am sorry for any offence.
It wasn't intended - I was making a joke out of the way other people view Arsenal and the "fear" that is put out in some of our newspapers.
I've never been through what you have so cannot understand the feelings you have like you do, although I understand how you describe it. I hope you get your wish of an independent country soon and don't have to feel like a prisoner anymore.
I hope you continue to visit this forum, as it is interesting to hear your views.

Yeah there was a lot more to that incident than met the eye, because Pardew had been in the papers prior to the match slaggin Wenger off for bringin too many foreigners to Arsenal, but AW slapped him down with one of his typical retorts reminding the West Sham boss that he'd only just recently asked him for Jeremie Aliadiere on loan and he didn't remember him askin to see his passport firstgunners-need-steel wrote:how about the hampsters win over us 05/06 .. most remembered by AW's bust-up with their then w*nker of a mgr ... the goal was outrageous, and came from one of our players being knocked over, and rest of the defending players pausing for an obvious freekick to be awarded .. then, goal .. and it stood ...

Le Boss's put down obviously really got to Pardew cos he ran into OUR technical area after their winner shook his fist in AW's face and shouted, cos the assist and goal were from homegrown players, "that one was made in England" - even tho Pardew himself freely admits that when he first got into management he rang Wenger for sound advice and for info on players, I think that is obviously the reason why the boss freaked, and Pardew later apologised for bein a completely ungrateful and tactless arsehole but it was too late the damage was done, he gets off scot free and AW typically gets hauled up in front of the disciplinary commitee

BB, thanks for the bg info ... I never knew some of these details ... typical lopsided press left out significant bits ...Belfast Boy wrote: Yeah there was a lot more to that incident than met the eye, because Pardew had been in the papers prior to the match slaggin Wenger off for bringin too many foreigners to Arsenal, but AW slapped him down with one of his typical retorts reminding the West Sham boss that he'd only just recently asked him for Jeremie Aliadiere on loan and he didn't remember him askin to see his passport first![]()
