The dog's gonads of a post, well said C.C.Cockerill's chin wrote:That Cesc has been charged following the rants of Brown is disgraceful. The FA have decided a nobody wins policy is best but Cesc has got a lot more to lose than Brown. By charging Cesc they have vindicated Brown's rant and demonstrable lies and labelled Cesc a spitter. Unfortuantely, in our bizarre culture, an alleged spit on the floor will be used as weapon to beat his character more than if he had broken a non-englishman's leg on the pitch.
Brown's handshake amnesia and venim when talking about "a club like Arsenal" will be forgotten by a media who will support his right to rage against an off-side goal. In spite of appearances, I hope Brown's time in the sunshine is limited and Hull sink from the Premiership without a trace.
Chunkey, I disagree with you about Cesc's right to be on the pitch. After the game the Hull players and staff were thugs. They surrounded Riley and gobbed off to any Arsenal player within 20 yards. Cesc didn't back away from them and gets hammered for it. Our club captain wanted to celebrate a hard win on his own turf with the squad. Who are Hull and Brown to say he can't or should shy away from their anger???
They love throwing the no backbone at Arsenal but as soon as any of our players show backbone then it is a nasty streak, arrogance and punishable. He's been charged for not running away from Hull's angry swagger after getting beat. Fuck the media and Fuck the FA.

Club Statement
Posted on: Fri 24 Apr 2009
Hull City AFC Chairman Paul Duffen would like to make the following statement with regard to charges brought by The Football Association following the FA Cup Quarter Final tie against Arsenal.
"I have always welcomed The Football Association's investigation into events at the Emirates Stadium following the final whistle of our FA Cup Quarter Final.
"It is no surprise to me that The FA has decided to bring the charges that they have announced this afternoon as I have always been confident in Phil Brown's and Brian Horton's accounts of events on that day.
"I will not comment further at this time as this matter is the subject of a disciplinary charge, but I have always known that Phil and Brian tell the truth."
below is extract from the guardian fiver. says it all really
CESC BOMB
Last month, after a not particularly tempestuous FA Cup fifth-round match between Arsenal and Hull City, Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas came wandering onto the pitch provocatively sporting a pair of trousers. Goading poor Phil Brown by wearing a shoe on each foot, he further aggravated the Hull manager by having outrageously wrapped his torso in a leather jacket - clearly a premediated act of aggression, that - before walking around on his legs, and breathing air through his nose and mouth.
Cesc's sartorial V-sign immediately sent Brown into the wildest of hot, steaming, pulsating funks, so much so that he began to resemble Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man in the title sequence of 1980s ITV documentary strand World In Action. The boiling blood pumping noise in his head with the ferocity of the sinister organ-based riff accompanying the title sequence of 1980s ITV documentary strand World In Action, Brown took Fabregas to task for wearing clothes all over his body as he pursued him down the Emirates tunnel.
It was at this point Fabregas spat in the direction of Brown's assistant, Brian Horton, who just wants the quiet life, not all this. Or maybe he didn't. Quite frankly, the Fiver doesn't care. But either way, the FA are totally sick of it, and have charged both Fábregas - who admittedly as well as wearing breeches and a warm top, also needlessly got involved in a slanging match with several Hull players - and Brown - who started crying live on Radio Five the day after, and criticised referee Mike Riley for "succumbing to local pressure" - with improper conduct for the whole unedifying affair. They both have three weeks to respond; the Fiver, meanwhile, is off to start a fistfight by walking down the street wearing a particularly challenging pair of socks.

Arsène Wenger believes Cesc Fabregas has no case to answer on charges of improper conduct brought by the Football Association on Friday.
Just before the manager’s usual press conference, it was announced that the Arsenal captain was in the dock over incidents at the end of the FA Cup tie with Hull on March 17.
According to the FA statement: “Fabregas faces two charges of improper conduct relating to his conduct on the pitch following the game. One charge concerns his behaviour in coming onto the pitch after the final whistle, the second charge relates to an alleged spitting incident.â€

Exactly. If he appeals... for arguments sake, at 23:59 on 11th May, won't the FA have to go through a long drawn out appeal process, freeing Cesc to play vs Chavski?Red107 wrote:If they have until the 12th May to respond then won't any possible suspension be delayed until after that date.
This is a fucking massive injustice; xenophobia, favouritism and false evidence....
