Is it safe to fly????

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Now I am known not to worry about anything really but what with this swine flu and the fact that you can catch it from up to 10 metres away from the person who sneazes it has got me a tad nervous.

A plane is a well known bug breeding ground cos the air is recycled, what if someone starts sneazing behind me what do you do ?

Don't really care about me but have the wife to think about.

Go or cancel?

Fly mate!
Cheers dude, that seems to be the consensus, but my missus was generally quite worried and it is really unlike her, but like others have said it is being over hyped.

Problem is I have just gotten over my one cold for the year and still am a bit bunged up, it could well be me sneazing on the plane. I will probably have a good few square metres to myself if I do :o
Or the passengers might gang up an tell the stewardess's to move me and the wife to 1st class cos no one can afford those seats anymore and it will probably be empty :)

Fly.

As you stand in the departure lounge make sure you casually (but loudly) inform your wife that your best mate (who you saw yesterday, hours after he arrived home from Mexico) has been put into observation for suspected swine flu.

Then worry (loudly) that you may have contracted it from him.

Again loudly, have your wife exclaim how worried she is for the health of all the other passengers you are soon to be on a plane with.

With any luck, you'll end up having most of the plane to yourselves, and a free upgrade to first class. :barscarf:

At last a voice of reason. I thought for a moment I was on my own. Scotlandf has an 'outbreak' 'cos TWO people have it. Fucking scaremongers. How many pensioners die of 'ordinary' flu every year?

GET A FUCKING GRIP.

We had bird flu so killed a load of birds, we've got swine flu so we'll kill a load of pigs.

What kind of flu you all looking forward to next? I know what I'd like to see . . .

Nature's way of dealing with an over-expanded population. Sit back and enjoy

I was thinking a "**** flu" pandemic in Edmonton might not be such a bad thing?
