Obefemi Martins, if Barcodes go down

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I am sure some people want us to buy any old player just for the excitement of seeing the press conference and the new player holding up his new shirt while we play guess the squad number!

I fully expect us to buy an African player in the summer but no doubt he will have had three decent games in the French third division and the transfer fee will be a set of training bibs and a bag of burst balls. Personally I would hope we haggle them down and offer Diaby instead.

As for Villa, we can forget about that either Liverpool or Real will get him.
So you think Greedy will be at the club next season? i dont

We need four good strikers-Ade gone,RVP too selfish not a team player,Bendtner not good enough,Eduardo who knows if he will ever be fully fit and Vela???????????

I think we need to sign at least two strikers. Villa and Eto. Sorted

Some people were seriously touting Simpson as an option on the strenght of 2 Beer Cup goals!

He then went to WBA and has been shite after a decent start. He had his first start for weeks on Saturday and even though incredibly WBA won 3-0 Simpson got taken off at half.

A guy at work is a season ticket holder up there and he said while he looked good at first simply due to enthusiasm he now looks like BA from the A Team trying to play football.

He recently signed a lenghty contract didn't he ?

I assume that was to inflate his transfer market value more than anything else.

Highest assist in the league, our Player of the season for keeping us going when no one else looked like it.

As for Eto & Villa, signing both would be a shock hence I find it very unlikely . But if we do sell Ade(also doubt that) who knows, fact is we can only go on speculation as Arsene has only signed 1 named player in AA for as long as I remember.

I would rather vela, ade, van persie and eduardo tbh. Martins would do well at a club like pompey, west ham, fulham NOT Arsenal.

He's a shite forward.

If we signed him, it would be a step backwards for Arsenal.

If you want to raid a relegated club then:

Newcastle - Jonás Gutiérrez (only 26 & an international)
'Boro - no one, to a man they were shit last Sunday
WBA - Luke Moore might have some potential, but then again he sometimes comes across as a tit!

I'd rather we signed Shearer than Martins. He'd still have a better idea where the goal is.
