Spot on, as long as I have a crack in my arse Wenger will not be sacked for the reasons you rightly state. Personally I'd be far more happy witha boardroom takeover in the summer.Irish Gooner wrote:Even that won't work Calo, Dead-Wood is happy as long as we rake in the cash.
Hopefully Dead-Wood and co can be forced of the board at some stage.

David Dein was the man who got Arsene's targets..........Arsenal seem to just want to keep the accountants happy.
Arsene too has to be questioned..............so much In wenger we trust merchants about................Not saying I want him out, far from it but as fans, we pay top dollar. The Mancs also pay top dollar for games yet they are always active in getting the calibre players that we should be buying......look at Vidic........he was a january signing. Where was wenger jan before last? At Barnet reserves!

"Chelsea have spent magic money and they have still not won the European Cup," he said. "It is not all down to spending the money. It is down to sticking to a policy and I believe that the next year will tell us more about the efficiency of the policy."
- Just proves what I've been saying here for past 12 months, Wenger only cares about Champions League
The team has developed very well and, in fairness, in the second leg, I believe that Man United were very nervous in the opening moments but the goal [by Park]..."
Wenger digressed into an analysis of both legs which was sure to have United supporters scratching their heads. "If you analyse the two games away from the goals ... and, of course, you can say you are completely stupid [to do that], but if you analyse the games, you would be surprised," he said.
- More of the same bullshit. if you take away the fact that they've ripped us apart, we were better team...
..and last but not the least...
The Frenchman also claimed that Bendtner, who was photographed leaving a nightclub with his trousers around his ankles in the small hours of Wednesday morning after the United defeat, had been the victim of a "set-up".
"He was not drunk and he did not pull his trousers down, somebody did it for him," said Wenger, who has fined Bendtner for being out so late after such a shattering loss. "Somebody waiting [behind him] for the camera has pulled his pants down."

Going by the sounds of what wenger is saying, we are after 2 experienced, ready made players
. If he actually does what he is saying, then guessing hopefully our budget is around £30m.
I would then like diaby, senderos, adebayor to be sold with ramsey, vela to go on loan, to a premiership side so they get to play, get familar with the hussle and bussle, pace and physical side of the premier league. Who then come back better players, knowing what it takes to win games in the premier league.
Center back has to be our number 1 priority. Joleon lescott is who i would want us to buy. Tall, good in the air in both boxes, can play center back of left back, and was the highest scoring defender in the premiership last season. His contract ends in 2012. I think we could get him for £14m. I believe 1 of gallas and toure will leave, senderos to be sold, so really we could do with two center backs. Gallas/toure, djourou, lescott and ? as our center back options.
With the remaining money i would like a center midfielder. Alonso, cana, yaya toure, inler, so therefore our spine of the team is stronger and we can actaully hold on to leads in games.
With wenger saying we are not after strikers, i hope that changes and pray someone comes in for adebayor, who we can then replace. Who? well i am not sure, i guess it would depend upon the fee, should adebayor go. That would leave us with rvp, eduardo, bendnter, arshavin and greedybayors replacement, as our strike force.
Although at times this season we have struggled to score goals, and i still do not think we create as many chances as we used to, but it starts at the back, with the confidence the team has, that we can win 1-0 , when needed and when under the kosh in games, not to concede a goal
So hopefully our team may look like this at the start of next season.

Saying all this im not sure if i can see wenger spending £30m and selling
3 or 4 players
Song, denilson,djourou,bendnter would be killed
but IMO is what we must do to move forward and not go backwards again like this season.
