True RaM, but Lescott cost £5million, Jagielka £4million and Tim Cahill £1.5 million, hardly world breaking record transfers fees, these eh?RaM wrote:Would be great to have Cahill too.
Now, now frank. Remember that English children cost too much, especially when they're over 10. Much cheaper to import from Africa.

Carrying on the Everton theme and perhaps someone more realistic in terms of availability and price range would be Yobo. He isn't a first choice there which would maybe make them more inclined to sell. He is the type of player we require, strong in the air etc. but also fits in with the Wenger type mould, e.g. quick, good athlete etc.
However, I think we need 2 centre backs, Gallas is probably our best at the moment and I don't rate him, at the highest level he is found wanting too often.

Lescott for me cos he knows the premier league.
Chellini would be another good suggestion if he could be persuaded to leave the motherland cos italian players traditionally stay in serie a until they are too old (oddo, zambrotta and maybe cannavaro even)
As outside possibilities scharner (wigan), distan (pompey) and maybe even agger though unlikely with hypia leaving the scousers. I couldnt say for certain about the credibility of players like zapata or the guy from valencia are like cos I aint seen enough of them. One thing for certain is that I wouldnt want that guy from fluham, alex (chavs) or wheater (boro) cos I think that they all lack the quality to play well on a consistant level

centre back
The Fulham centre back has been getting good reviews , and he'd probably be closer to the price range

Never seen him play so I cant vouch for him but pretty much all the top Italian teams (who tend to know a thing or 2 about defending) seem to rate him highly. Anyone seen him play?.
