Tony Adams

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He is a straight shooter. Just like me. Telling it how it is 24/7. 8)
Radford says dear god, what makes you think he knows what the members of the board think? and why would they tell him? Radford hates it when ex-players (yes that what he is) feel the need to spout off about the club. a club with which TA has by choice had nothing to do with (DB's testimonial springs to mind).

TA Radford asks you to hit the bottle again you made more sense and were more fun

why the hell is Tony talking so much? And about specifics?

All this talk about how Wenger doesn't have the support of the board, how he told Wenger that he shouldn't buy Rosicky and Adebayor, how Vermaelen isn't good enough, how the Dutch league is shit coupled with his very strange Celtic comments make me wonder what he is up to.

Surely he can't be so naive as to think that people will react positive to this and that he'll get a job out of it.

Very odd. Really strange.

I agree not sure if he is just trying to raise his profile or is back on the drink again. Very strange behaviour wish he would just shut up!!!!

Adams has been working closely with Wenger since parting ways with the south coast club, has acted as a scout, and has admitted studying Serie A, and also the Eredivise which Adams believes is "decimated".

"I’ve been down to Italy mainly," Adams explained to setanta.com. "The Italians don’t usually travel well, but I think this lad that I’m looking at may if we can come up with the money and there is a money issue at the Arsenal at the moment."

If that is true and he is actually scouting for us, why the hell would he talk about it to the press? And then add that Arsenal don't have money anyway? What is he trying to achieve?

He's losing it.

Please shut up!

Did you read the interview?
''I don't know who it is, but I think there's someone on the board who's not pro-Arsene. I don't know who it is, but that's what I've heard.''
Hardly TA claiming it to be gospel is it? He's just saying what he's heard.
''The fans have got very high standards now. I remember when I first broke into the team, losing 4-0 at Maine Road and the fans were doing the conga. They didn't expect much.

''But they expect a lot now. They're crying out for experience and the fans are not silly, they know the team needs experience at the back and in central midfield.
I think he comes across well. Straight talker that guy. Just like me. 8)

Sounds very true to me- & it is what ALL of us think too. TA 6 is entitled to say what he likes imo & following his career from first breaking in to the team to the testimonial, I would sell half of our players now to get a defender, captain, ambassador, England defender/captain, who could do what he did for us in a long & illustrious career, & who also realises that AW has been great, but that there was a successful AFC before AW too. Tony is just Tony- & will always be a LEGEND to me :barscarf:
