As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
That was the moment right above there lads... the moment when the more optomistic of our posters went right over the edge and confirmed why you are called "rose tinters" by many...
Still, if it happened, then I'm sure Boomer will eat mrgnus hat!

Been done that one, next!
Haha you beat me to it, cant make a post without someone claiming we are the same person! what i want to know is why are people so worried that someone might be posting under two names? have you got nothing more important to worry about?
I don't think I have to apologise to think that Tevez isn't as good as people think and that I think that players like Van Persie, Eduardo and even Adebayor are better than him and give more to the team.
To be honest it pisses me off that I'm labelled a rose-tinter for having an opinion that doesn't match that of the "realists" (though I still fail to see how being negative about everything makes you a realist, but there you go).
I actually watched Tevez carefully over the last 3 seasons, and while he's a good player he isn't worth anywhere near 25 million pounds and 130 grand a week. He doesn't have any tactical discipline, his technique is limited, he doesn't score enough goals even when played centrally and he doesn't give enough assists.
People complain about giving 80 grand to van Persie but they'd but they'd be happy to give 130 grand a week to Tevez? Really?

I think it is only fair to point out that people have not labelled you as such for the reasons you stated. They've done so because they believe you are seriously over optimistic about this team. Many of your comments sound like they have come direct from Arsenals PR department. Personally, I've not labelled you or anyone else, but I can see why people do so. There is a massive difference between optimism and blind faith.

I'm an optimist by nature, there's nothing I can or want to do about that.
But I do think I'm realistic enough to be able to compare our players to those of other clubs and make a relatively unbiased assessment of whether those players would actually be an improvement over what we have.
I watch a lot of football and I watch opposition players relatively closely and I'm trying hard to not over- or underrate them. Same with our team.
So in four pages of discussion...we're all agreed - Tevez looks weird.
And for that reason (amongst others, including the fact he plays for Argentina) we have concluded that he will not be an Arsenal player.
And nor should he be! In my opinion he looks weird, and is not worth anything near 25 million. The fact he's played for ManUre is a significant boost to his price in itself. And personally, I think that if whoever signs him (assuming it is a team with decency and respect for their own fans and television viewers everywhere) will spend a small fortune on paper bags every week.
Ah...so maybe he's worth 25 million because Fergie will throw a lifetime's supply of paper bags into the bargain...it all makes sense.
