Why dont we go for Tevez?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This is the kind of thing that annoys some people, a thread on Tevez has ended up having a go at Song, Eboue, Bendtner etc - as do most threads!
BDB - The latest replies relate only to the post written ny Andrey's Tongue - where he is trying to make a direct comparison between the cases of injury which are at opposite ends of the scale. And he knows it, even if he doesn't want to admit it. It has nothing to do with opinion. Read the replies for the answer - if you don't understand them then there is no way back (joke) :-P :barscarf:

I did not. I don't know what you were reading but I did not tell you how good they were, not for everyone of them anyway.

It's ridiculous that I have to defend myself for not only seeing the negatives in a player. I can see the negatives, trust me. But I can also see the negatives of the players of other clubs. Sorry.

I think Number 5's post was a bit tongue in cheek - I know my reply was.

Tell me about it mate, some posters on here seem to prefer everyone elses players to our own. Going back to the Tevez thing, I think he is decent but has he scored anywhere near the number of goals Bendtner has...no, he hasn't. Still that doesn't fit some people's 'agendas' that they have does it!

And we would counter that by saying your clearly missing the merits those players have - as AT says, take Denilson for example - a young player who has rose through the ranks, CC, Squad player and has had ONE full season - its not enough to judge him. I agree an experienced midfielder would be a welcome adittion to the squad - but I think he is one of our most improved players this season. He could have an absolute stormer next season, so know, I wont agree that he is not good enough until he has been given a fair crack. Flamini was average at best for a few seasons and then really got himself established, Denilson is younger and has acheived more than he had at that age.

Eboue, is a useful squad player - we have covered that elsewhere.

Anybody who tries to make a direct comparison between a player who had 1 major injury with us in what 6 years and players who have missed more time than they have played doesn't deserve to be listened to. It defies belief that someone would write that, read it and then hit submit.

He wasnt making a comparison Number 5, it was a bit lost in translation I think, he was saying that a major injury shouldnt be the sole reason to wrote off someone. Rosicky was a great performer for us and I hope he reaches that level again as he was an all-round great midfielder, international star and captain of his country.

Ive not actually seen your opnion of anything on here other than to come on and put down other peoples :banghead:

I know your reply was tongue in cheek, but there's others on this board that seem to think that way.

It's also incredibly arrogant to assume that 99% or even 90% of other Arsenal fans agree with an opinion and those who don't are idiots.

You will struggle to find even 50 % that will agree that Song or Denilson or Bendtner are shit. And even if 90 % of people agree, what does that mean? Nothing. Fans don't run football clubs and it's for a good reason that they don't.

are you arguing his points for him now???? He did make a direct comparison. I said Rosicky was not reliable to which he implied that I must mean the same for Pires. How much more direct to you want it to be.

Don't take it so personally. You are not expected to defend yourself, but to argue your point.

I can't say I've agreed with more than 3 words you've ever posted ( ) but I like to read more optimistic views as well as the more negative stuff. There is a balance there.

The only thing I can't understand is the blind defence of our players by some on here no matter how bad the player is... It nullifies their arguments a bit because they appear to be pretty unrealistic.

I could support that for Bendtner and maybe even Song to some degree but not to Denilson. I don't think you really believe that either.

The bottom line, that most people on here have tried to get across is this.

They might be okay players, but they're not good enough to be a starter for Arsenal.

and I was never saying that they should be starters. There's a good argument to be made that they shouldn't be starting the majority of games. And I would not disagree with that at all.

I think that they have started the majority of games this season was more born out of necessity than out of the managers wishes, but that's another discussion entirely.

This same person shit is just a long running gag about people with more than one identity appearing on the same thread - Blame I Hate Hleb. :D

What BDB wrote above is logical - What Andrey's tongue wrote must have cantonese then!

Can't you have a word with yourselves :?:

Someone should have explained that, I suppose. As Galasso said the alter ego thing is a long running gag on here.

We had er... "issues" with a couple of people posting as other people for a while and it was fucking hilarious at times (one person who will remain nameless Wayno even conducted a two page argument with himself that eneded in a row).

IHH started it with the smarter, better looking, superior poster Eboue Can't Defend.
