KARIM BENZEMA to arrive?

I know this is silly season, and the papers generally spout a load of shit BUT, this is no so silly when you really think about it.

Arsenal sell Adebayor to AC Milan for a fee of anywhere between £15m and £25m and with the money they recieved from Kaka i assume itd be more £25m than £15m, this then means that the maximum we'd actually fork out for Benzema is £15m and the minumum could be as little as £5m!

Karim Benzema is French, which helps, as Wenger is French, and we have a few French players already at the club, Arsene has a history of developing some of the best French talent around, Benzema is only 21 and will want to progress in his career.

As for Benzema himself, he is fucking immense, i would genuinlly cream my pants if we signed him, the lad is the closest thing to a Henry type player i have seen. He is Direct, skillful, has a turn of pace, he's strong and commanding, he has the ability to create something from nothing and the main attribute that impresses me the most is his natural ability to finish off a chance whether it be on the volley on his head bottom and top corners or around the keeper he seems to know exactly what to do and when.

This singing would surely mean Arsenal would play the Barca style 4-3-3 next season with Arshavin, Walcott and Benzema, Fabregas free and Song and Denilson sitting behind?

Please be true (Even though its bollocks :()

Would love this to be true, but it's just media bollacks.

As much chance of him signing for us as the club allowing fans to stand. Shame because he is one fucking great player and I love standing 8)

Don't do this down too much. Yes it appeared in the Screws first but it was front page of Sunday Times sports section - i.e. a decent newspaper which has a reputation to protect and therefore can't afford to spout total bollocks.

The stumbling block to this will be can we get rid of Greedy for enough and then does he want to play for Wenger and guaranteed star striker status (which Rooney will have at Utd) enough to trump a potentially better offer elsewhere.

Still think he'll stay at Lyon or go to Manure but I do think we have a genuine interest here.

AFCWozza - Exactly, your post is spot on, but we have so many negative posters they can't see the wood for the trees.

It ain't rocket science.

On the transfer front i hear a lot of people shouting out about Ribery are a bit silly - as we are not going to sign him Real are.
Benzema on the other hand i think is true!!!! In actual fact AW has been interested in Karim Benzema for a while now but the player has been out of reach.

It has come to my knowledge that AW was not pleased with loosing out on Yaya Toure and let the Chief Exec know his feelings. After which the board were informed and A meeting was held and a decision was made at the meeting to become more accomodating of Usmanov as he is the only one about with real cash.

Not Kroenke not Fiszman, not nobody. So there you have it. The board are willing to take Usmanovs money in order to reduce the clubs debt but ot for transfers. Another clear indication of how greddy these lot are.

If the clubs debts are reduced they have more money in their pockets. If 100 mill is injected into transfers, which is what Usmanov wanted to do, it will not directly impact on the board so they ruled that part out. But these are the facts, Usmanov will pump 100 million into the club to help with the debts and will also pledge another 100 mill to be used for transfer targets. Hence the new stories about Ribery and Benzema. However it is the latter AW is wanting to sign in place of Ade. Gallas I understand could be part of the deal to bring Benzema to the Emirates. Seems AW has had enough of the boards unwillingness to spend.

They always use the tactic of waiting until the last moment to sign a player and when they don’t they blame it on other clubs and lack of time. Hence why Le Boss wants all targets wrapped up by the start of pre-season. Expect big things at Arsenal next season.
