gigs

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

It’s not easy think of them all when you try but here’s some anyway, in no particular order

REM
Oasis X 2
Arcade Fire
Brian Adams  Free ticket, honestly
The Magic Numbers
The Strokes
Groove Armada
The Divine Comedy
The Frames
Ocean Colour Scene
Jose Golzalez

Electric Picnic 2006
Groove Armada
Antony and the Johnsons
The Frames
Massive Attack
Josh Ritter
Elbow
PJ Harvey
DJ Shadow

Electric Picnic 2007
Beastie Boys
Bjork
Clap your Hands say Yeah
Fionn Regan
Chemical Brothers
The Magic Numbers
Modest Mouse

Electric Picnic 2008
Sigur Rós
Sex Pistols
Elbow
Christy Moore
Lisa Hanigan
Jarvis Cocker

I may have mixed up some of the acts and years. There was probably 20 other acts viewed at each Picnic but the ones above were the main ones

A couple that I didn't mention, U2 in Croke Park (I thought they were crap), Morrissey and Bell X1. The Bell X1 gig was in a small venue in Sligo, only about 200 people there, 1 of the most enjoyable concert I've been to.

I'm gutted I still haven't seen Springsteen or Neil Young.

Just found out I got free guestlist tickets for the Sonisphere festival tho. My girlfriend works at the O2 and managed to get free ones so I should be going if she can get the weekend off.
Not an awesome lineup, but to see Killing Joke, Mastodon, Nine Inch Nails and Metallica for free can't be sniffed at.
