Who wore this shirt

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Paul Davis I Hope is the right one, the provider of our eurogoals.

As for the other options
Hillier: Can`t wear it at the airport
Selley: I will break my leg
Linighan: I will break my nose
Morrow: I will be either injured, dropped or both

Wasnt Steve Bould No.5? It was a bit confusing in that era because we had like 4 centre backs as in Adams, Bould, Linighan and O'Leary still i think.

All i remember is that Davis used to wear that shirt but that was the time where George Graham like boring defensive midfielders do i think davis was too fancy and clever for his liking.

Oh yeah forgot about ol Baldy
To tell the truth i don't think he was playing much when David O was about
If only Jasper got a slip saying how wore it, oh well i guess we won't find out

This was the season before squad numbers and named shirts, so there are a lot of players that could have worn the shirt within reason but Arsenal have never had defenders wearing 4 its always been a midfield number

Can't remember the season exactly but it might have been 1992/93 - went to sp**s game and we finished the game with 4 centre backs on the pitch - Adams, O'leary, Bould and Pates (I think that was the four). Durie, Lineker and Walsh missed sitters and Wright scored in the last minute to equalise! :D

Its was 92-94 shirt and as far as i know Arsenal and Sheff Wed were the first teams to use squad numbers and names in the Coca Cup Final but they werent used in the league till 94-95 season. I know im a nerd for knowing this (it might even be wrong but dont think so) :D

Colin Pates...wow blast from the past.

Here's one...i have a vivid memory of Kwame Ampadu making his Arsenal debut as a sub. Dont ask me who it was against or WHY! lol

Probably cos the name stood out - at the time we had names like:

Smith, Adams, Dixon, Thomas, Campbell, Hayes

Nowadays, Ampadu is relatively tame by comparison :!:
