Do you really think he'd let Toure go without anyone else coming in? Wenger knows from the shareholders meeting that there is genuine unrest and if he were to let the 2 Africans go and not bring anyone in, well I'd like to think he hadn't reached that level of losing his marbles just yet!!Lethal wrote:not happy with this at all,he isnt gonna sign a top class replacement

Toure - a defender who is past it and out of form
Adebayor - comes with more baggage than masis on an Air Africa plane - out of form
Santa Cruz - doubts over fitness - not consistent prolific goalscorer
Bellamy - major doubts over fitness, not prolific, pace is his main virtue - temperement issues
Barry - genuine class - a fantastic signing
We need to give Senderos a footballing makeover, train Vermaelen to head (as Dutch football rarely utilises crossing) and sign Hangeland
Song needs to be an enforcer - or get Flamini back at a fraction of his sale pricePerhaps you could point whoever originally wrote that in the way of the "economics explained" thread. You might like it too, it's all about bull!

Yes, because in the interview AW says 'we have 7 centre backs' - and goes on to say we will see how things develpo....Toure has been a wonderful servant to the club and deserves our thanks and respect.....But, he has one year left on his contract and is nowhere near the player he was...not since he was il with Malaria.....|Sad but True...Eboue-Why? wrote:Do you really think he'd let Toure go without anyone else coming in? £15 mill is a good deal...I just hope the Feck AW doesn't let the board have it and so spends the £40 mill we now have from sale of greedy twat and Kolo....

Augie, I agree with what you’re saying but it’s a case of once bitten twice shy. I’d be over the moon with these sales if I was confident that the money is going to be reinvested but I have no faith that is going to happen at all. I still expect a maximum of one more signing between now and the end of august (excluding youngsters under the age of 18). Quite what position that buy will be I don’t know, probably a technically gifted attacking midfielder to cover Nasri’s injury

Yes but when one of them is Senderos already I'm wondering if he was being serious. Well, all I'll say is that if Toure does go and I agree it is fantastic money for someone who's never been the same post malaria, and Wenger thinks we can challenge for trophies without a class pairing in the middle then........OneBardGooner wrote:Yes, because in the interview AW says 'we have 7 centre backs' - and goes on to say we will see how things develpo....Toure has been a wonderful servant to the club and deserves our thanks and respect.....But, he has one year left on his contract and is nowhere near the player he was...not since he was il with Malaria.....|Sad but True...Eboue-Why? wrote:Do you really think he'd let Toure go without anyone else coming in?
