THAT chant being sold online.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

When I asked Amazon to cancel my account, I got an e-mail saying that they had removed the shit from sale. And did I still want to close my account?.

I replied and pointed out that the mp3 upload was still available on their international sites. Told them that they did the absolute minimum to avoid legal action from Arsenal. And were a bunch of *word censored* (well I didn't use those exact words :D ).

Here's the reply I got....

Dear Mr. Baker, I can confirm that the physical CD has been completely removed from sale, and that the offensive song has also been removed from the MP3 download sections on both Amazon.co.uk and our international sites. As per your request, however, I have now closed your account. It may take up to 24 hours for our systems to fully update and for your account to become inaccessible by you or anyone else. If you decide to open an account with us again in the future, you can use your original or any other e-mail address. If you do, you’ll need to enter your personal details into the order form again. We have appreciated your custom. Regards, James BrazilExecutive Customer RelationsAmazon.co.uk

I'm STILL never going to give them any business ever again. They could have done things the play.com way. But chose to ignore all are complaints, until they got worried about legal action. The *word censored*.

I would love to join the protest and cancel my Amazon account, but I don't have one :(

Do you think I should open one, and then email them asking them to close it again?

I did exactly the same....told them where to stick their account and business......I also said that I would be producing a MP3 download - titled 'Amazon the Paedophile Lovers' and pointed out that I would be citing the names of the 2 individuals who had replied via e-mail regarding my initials requests to remove the chant....and did they have anything to say about that...considering it would be based on the freedom of an individual to express that amazon were indeed paedophile lovers who put profit before decency etc tec ....no reply was forthcoming ...still closed my account though....If everyone on this thread and site who had accounts with amazoncrunts have closed their accounts it would add up to more than they would usually lose in a month or so.... :D

I also received a letter (snail mail) to my e-mail complaint to OFCom - It is a 2 page reply...basically saying that my complaint to Sky could not be upheld as Sky could not possibly exclude or remove the chant from the live broadcast without incurring complaints from other viewers - because sanitising the sound would have ' negatively affected the atmosphere of the live broadcast'...they did the usual 'we empathise' blah blah bollocks...and they would pass on my comments to Sky and remind them (sky) that they had failed to respond to my complaint.

ofcom waste of feckin space, the load of shytebags....

btw: the person who deals with such complaints at OFcom is:

Alistair Hall (Senior Associate of the Broadcast Team)

www.ofcom.org.uk

0207-981-3000

Riverside House
2a Southwark Bridge Road
London. SE 1 9HA

Just in case should anyone still want to drop them a line, or for future reference...

Had a reply to my complaint to 7digital:

"Thank you for your email.

The supplier has asked us to take this album down, so it should no longer appear on the site."

Emailed Digirama earlier today. Got a nice prompt reply saying they had taken the album down as a result and even informing me of other companies selling it! :barscarf: :barscarf:

That's got to be the fastest removal yet!
