Sorry to start another thread on this incident but i have to get all my points across lol! Firstly i see myself as quite a placid, friendly and all together kind person, i very rarely see myself as a raging lunatic.. BUT!
On the 12th September 2009 i was pictured in my Arsenal shirt at the City Of Manchester stadium looking like an axe wielding psychopath murderer who had just completely blown his top, and this was all down to 1 man, Adebayor.
I was in the ground an hour before kick off, and Adebayor himself decided he'd like to come out and warm up a good 15 minutes before any of the other players, he also decided he'd warm up inside the Arsenal half quite possibly to create a reaction early doors. He then continued to warm up in the Arsenal half when the Arsenal players came out to warm up to i can only assume attract more attention. Then when the teams were lined up in position ready to kick off a certain Mr Adebayor was wondering around the ARSENAL end of the pitch which was completely disrespectful.
He started the game like a house on fire, and rattled me even more when he lunged in very late and naughty on Cesc, and on reflection looking at the still images Cesc was very very lucky to get away without any serious damage. The stamp on Van Persie wasnt visible from the stands but fits in with the make-up of his game. Every single corner in front of the Arsenal fans he was in the net shaking it getting attention.
When Ade scored, and it was inevitable that he would, there wasn't a feeling of anger, not even a feeling of frustration, i think the majority of fans felt like me, like it was always going to happen. Then, as i looked up, in amazement, Adebayor, was hurdling his teammates, with arms widespread, beaming smile, running at the traveling support, the mood very quickly changed, i found myself moving towards the front very early, venting fury at the striker who had spent so long winding the Arsenal fans up, i never threw nothing and i don't condone them actions BUT i do understand how ANGRY he made everyone. Adebayor then after the game had the front to sarcastically applaud the Arsenal fans, then "Apologise" on national television. He began the game with an agenda, it was always going to happen..
I'd also like the add the press's pathetic attempts at making Arsenal fans to be the antagonists by singing racial slurs at Adebayor is BOLLOCKS. Arsenal fans were singing He's 5ft4, He's 5ft4, We've got Arshavin, FUCK ADEBAYOR.
The Manchester City song for Adebayor is sung.. ADEBAYOR, ADEBAYOOOR, He's hung like and Elephant, and his wife is sore. I HATE that racist song and would never sing it, and he never reacted like that when the other 19 premier league clubs we played sung that song.
Its also bollocs that people have actually defended that ANIMAL. We bought him from nowhere, made him one of the most feared strikers in european football, he then spent a whole summer flirting with AC Milan and trying to manufacturer a move away from the club, his wages were significantly increased, he then spent the whole season moping around, being extremely lazy and giving nothing for the cause, the icing on the cake was the performances against United. Then to leave, disrespect Arsenal football club, the players, the fans, the management staff, absolutly everyone he deserves EVERY SINGLE BIT OF STICK HE GETS.
Fuck off Adebayor, throw the book at him BIG TIME
