As for the kids, Red and White, Yellow and Blue. I can almost understand them making different kits (Blue, or Green) to increase revenue, but White should never have happened. The fact that it's our "biggest selling" away shirt ever speaks volumes about the c**ts who support Arsenal now.
Amen brother. I cannot even wear a white training top to footy training. When I was offered a spot playing for another local team years ago (bigger club, slightly higher league etc) I turned it down because they played in a white jersey and blue shorts! Straight up! Stayed with my old team instead. My GF at the time thought I was a bit of a twat for doing it... Jeez, that bitch was smarter than she looked, huh?

Did I tell you that we are wearing white for the fans match against Sunderland DB10 ?

Haha smartarse!!!

I'm bringing over the jersey's Chunky, remember? We are playing in yellow. With our own Gooner FC crest I might add (and with the proper 1970's cannon too!). 8)

Our players used to be gooners at heart (big tony, wrighty, keown ect) now NONE of them are in comparision....

A New generation of poxy quiet fans that weren't there at highbury.....

Stupid Red Kit without proper white sleeves!(AND A WHITE AWAY KIT WITH BLUE SHORTS OMG!!) thats like everton playing in all red! man utd playing in sky blue with white shorts!!!!

I love Arsenal but this is how i feel and it does upset me that wev'e changed our whole culture more than any other team in the last 10 years. I know theres such thing as moving on and making progress, but were a whole different team now. Arsene could have stopped all the above from happening and still be succesful in my opinion.
wow, this argument has so many holes in it its unbelievable.
1. the first point of your argument which ive highlighted, youre saying that our players used to be gooners at heart, but under wenger this isnt the case anymore? firstly, cesc? v.persie? even henry? certainly players who show just how much they love the club, all developed under wenger. secondly, its not wengers fault, its how the modern game is, dont try and pin the blame on wenger. there simply isnt the same loyalty that used to exist from a player to his club, the modern game with ridiculous wages has contributed to that. absolutely nothing to do with wenger that players are being greedy and acting in their best interests.
Bergkamp as well was a gooner at heart :barscarf:

so your saying highbury was good enough, forget that we all loved the place. if we had never played there before and we were offered highbury or the grove, we would be stuped to chose highbury which held 38,000 over the grove which holds over 60,000

what club apart from chelsea with john terry and liverpool with carragher and gerrard can you say have players that are passionate about the club? not many. times have changed

wenger doesnt work for nikes design department, i doubt he is 2 bothered about us not having enough white, why should he be, we could play in pink and orange for all i care as long as we won things. and a white away kit is nothing like everton wearing red because up untill the fa cup final in 1950 we always had a white or blue away kit

and poxy quiet fans that wernt at highbury? it was called the library for a reason

the change of badge doesnt really bother me, the previous one wasnt that good to be honest, the hexagon one from the 50s or the plan cannon from the 70s were the best ones, and they have been changed many times before things like this happen, not just at arsenal but at every club.

i think your moanin about absolutly nothing really. especially with the stadium i dont get how people can doubt that choice, if you take out the emotional ties to highbury the grove is 10x better and once it is fully paid off will benefit the club alot more than highbury ever would have done.

Fair enough, you got your opinion. I'm not moaning at all mate. All i pointing out is wev'e basically lost the sole of the club. I can read through many on this thread that feel exactly like i do. I didn't say wenger worked for nike but are you saying he couldn't affect the colours of the kit to suit the fans?...nearly every arsenal fan i know personally is disgusted in our second white away kit in 3 years and rightly so, its just not on im afraid. Fuck the 50's i couldn't care whether we had one then or not.

But why blame Wenger for the the colour of our sleeves?? :? - why not the board members? Nike, or the clubs marketing dept.??

Hasn't Wenger got enough on his plate without having fans criticising him over the colour of our shirt sleeves???

Seems a bizarre thing to have a go at the manager for, to be honest.

You'll be blaming him for the quiet fans and the modern crest design next! (oh, wait... you did     )

Im not only blaming wenger, your right it is board members, nike blablabla. I gurantee you if THE MANAGER had even opened his mouth about the sleeves for 1 second, we would be playing in proper colours now. Who knows? maybe were not ever guna' get our famous red kit with white sleeves back EVER!! does thats no anger you at all?

Yes, I hope we'll go back to our traditional colours, but a lay the blame firmly at the door of the Arsenal board  ... they are the "custodians" of our football club, and it is their job to make sure the traditions and standards of Arsenal FC are upheld!

Wenger's job is to manage the team and make Arsenal a success on the pitch.

If I thought Wenger was spending time worrying about the crest design and the sleeves on the home shirt, I'd be very worried that he was being needlessly distracted from his real job!

So no I'm not happy about the shirt design, but it's not Wenger's responsibility, and nor should it be!

Things change some good, some bad some it depends on how you look at things. Some fans will never like the new stadium, some fans wont like our kits no matter what colour they are.

My dad is 68 and has been going to the Arsenal since he was knee high to a grasshopper. When we left Highbury he didnt cry, he said he had some great memorys but that is all they are memorys of great times.

He said you cant keep looking back and it is now time for this great club to move to the next level. He doesnt care about what our kit looks like as long as the players in that kit give 110% to the Arsenal while they are wearing it.

He always said that the Arsenal fans were quiet for as long as he can remember he always put it down to Arsenal fans being knowledgable about the game and said that when they saw that the team needed lifting they would do it.

I asked him about the 'gooners at heart' thing today all he said was there has always been players who would play for the shirt but then again there have been lots who have not.

So I showed him the post on here and he said "well if thats how he wants to see it it's up to him but if you keep looking at all the negatives you will not see the positives and I think under Wenger the positives far out weigh the negatives."
