Wenger is a Coach, not manager, but I'm sure we all know that he loves being on the training ground with he's players. I'm sure he once said "Games get in the way of what he loves doing best"![]()
So of course this mean that the summer before will be tournament free. Like this summer just past. He's had a summer to prepare and get he's players ready physically and mentally. Where as next summer the World cup will distrupt AW's pre-season prep.
and Brazilian no offence with my first post just think youre mental
IM STARTING TO BELIEVE

last 2 were
world cup in 2006
euros in 2008
we won fuck all before and after
my point was at boomers post that for the last 2 big tournaments arsenal done jack shit before or after so disputing his theory

Reb, never said we'd won something in each of those year. My actuall comments were "able to mount a challenge".
If we remember 08 was the season we lost the league. Several points clear then crumbled.
06 was the CL final year.

whilst coming out top is still going to be a tall order i belive coming 4th would be a major disapointment based on the other 'top 4' sides performances. if the scousers finish above us i would be gutted. if another team does then i'd be even more gutted. truth is we need to show our mettle against chelsea, united and the scousers in our remaining fixtures against them. so far we've had united, played well and lost - must do better.Gooner Jim wrote:Il expect a top 4 finish, anything else would be immense

Hello all!
Iv been scanning the forum for a long time, and decided this to be the perfect time to come out of hiding
When the season started I didnt have much hope but the way we started the season has been nothing but brilliant.
Fabregas has grown up so much,
Alot of our players have stepped up. Wenger was right.

Cannot agree with that boomer tbh. If anything wenger is the complete opposite to a coach - he doesnt coach tactics, he doesnt really coach formations as he allows and trusts his players to go where they see fit and he sure as hell dont coach set pieces either defensively or attacking

I see your point but then neither is he a manager of players!
All I know is that he loves being on that training field 'developing' players mentally and physically.

United are fucked then seeing that they lost to Chelsea and Loserpool.augie wrote:I should also point out that we have played only 2 of our rivals for the top 4 places and we have lost both games so our "great run" that we are on is based on games against average premier league sides and poor champs lge teams - a bit similar to last seasons great unbeaten run if you like except a few more wins instead of draws

Haven't been on here for a while so have to put my self as always firmly in the REALIST camp.
Because this really can be our year, im not saying 100% we will win something this year, but it looks more likely than the last few seasons and were playing some real free flowing football too.
Long way to go, but im optimistic about this season.
