Its typical, and he's been having his best season for us, lets just hope its not as bad as they think and he's back asap, this will give eduardo a chance to show us what he's made of.

Chamakh is a certain signing in january. But is he good enough and will it be too late?.I have my doubts that Eduardo can play 10 games in a row and Vela seems to have disappeared off the radar.

Sky Sports News reporting he's to have tests today on a serious ankle injury and that if it's his ligaments then he's looking at 3 months out :banghead:

4 or our 5 designated strikers are now out injured.

Walcott and Vela will be back in training this week but cannot see them as good enough to replace RvP although it will be handy to have them available.

Time for AA23 to have a run of games sitting behind Eduardo. Maybe the responsibility will fire up AA and we will see the very best of him.

We have plenty of other players chipping in with goals so hopefully we can ride it out.

Not sure who might be available in the transfer market but AW must surely have a very close look for another big striker in January.

It's time that our players started doing what Moan Utd having been doing for years - find a convenient injury to avoid playing in these f**king stupid & meaningless international friendlies.

How many times have Rooney, Beckham and co played on Saturday, got an "injury", missed a midweek int'l and then - lo and behold - they're fit the following Saturday. I used to hate this but now we should do it!!

World Cup and Euro qualifiers are one thing but these poxy friendlies are a complete and utter waste of time. :banghead: :banghead:

What did Capello learn last night, apart from the fact that Qatar is quite a long way away??

I know I am going to get slated for this - But we could really use a fit Bendtner now!!

Not Sure Eduardo can be a focal point for our attacks in the same way. Need someone to hold it it when we are playing 4-3-3 IMO.

Gutted, he is going to be a massive miss for us no doubt about it.

However, we are not "fucked" - we dont rely on any one player, im not denying its a massive injury for us - but we have to move on and cope with it. We have players all over the pitch that score goals and as people have said, its a chance for the likes of Vela / Walcott (who still has it all to prove for me) etc to step up now.

Will be interesting what Wenger does, 4-4-2 would suit Eduardo / Bendtner (when fit) better, but the new system is by far the most beneficial to the team. If Bentner was fit id play him down the middle, with him out it will probbaly be Eduardo (who scored twice for Croatia last night I think!)

Bloody Internationals eh?

Make you right, time for a 442 with Eduardo and Arshavin I think.

You just knew something like this would happen, it sounds pretty bad aswell.

I just hope it's not history repeating itself from 2 years ago.

Personally, I wouldn't go back to a 4-4-2. Song has improved immensely (no doubt), but I don't want to see how he will perform playing that formation. Our midfield seems to work fine at the moment, why tamper with it? :barscarf:

We won't see what affect Robin's injury has had on us until say, mid December. I'd be more worried if Song, Gallas or Vermaelin came back injured! Let's hope that doesn't happen!

It's cos Ireland, France, Russia etc. have qualifiers and the national sides want to make money.

the Rooney that played on Saturday for 90 minutes in sapping heat?

Are the friendlies pointless? The FA owed Brazil a favor, we repaid it, Brazil and to a far lesser extent England get money to pay off debts, give to charity, to ref's, to the costs of running woman's football, amateur football, the youth work they do. When we stop benefiting from the youth systems around the world, then we can make demands for the FA's to not try to gain some money to pay for it.

On the pitch, Capello got a good luck at his deputy back four, at Barry's defensive ability, at his two wingers.
