Vela could be the one to benefit from Van Persie's injury, can't see Eduardo playing every week so he may get his chance now through the middle.

ArsÃ¨ne Wenger says he is not a fan of the novel treatment Robin Van Persie is undergoing in Serbia but is happy for the striker to receive it.
The Dutchman suffered ankle ligament damage in an international friendly against Italy on Saturday and has been given a course of treatment that involves placenta fluid being dripped onto his injured ankle.
After the initial scare that Van Persie could be out for the remainder of the season, Wenger was relieved to hear it would only be a six-week layoff and despite his scepticism he has no objections to the treatment.
"I am not a fan," said the Arsenal manager, "but also I am not a doctor.
"I have seen a few bizarre treatments. I could tell you a few stories about the treatments; I have enough to write a book on them.
"But I respect the individual freedom of everybody to be treated how they want to be treated.
"Since I have been in sport, when I have any guy who is injured, their first reflex is to go to their own country to be treated.
"Robin is exactly the same - most of the time he is treated first in Holland, because that is where he feels the most comfortable.
"They had told me he could be out for the rest of the season. But it did not need surgery; the positive news we had is that he will be out for four to six weeks. We count six because we are a bit pessimistic."

Reading between the lines he will be out for a lot longer than 6 weeks

- was that a joke, or are you just shockingly bad at "reading between the lines"??

He said 4-6 weeks, but he counts six because he's pessimistic.... in other words, they count 6 so they aren't disappointed if he's not back in 4.

This and many others facts are taken from Wengers new books 'Arsene's Treatment Room' which is out in shops in 2-3 weeks time. Although, it's likely to be more like 5-6 weeks!

FRANK LAMPARD has flown to Serbia for treatment by the Belgrade 'miracle worker' who cures injuries using horse placenta.
Now the Chelsea star, sidelined with a thigh injury, is hoping he will be fit for next weekend's derby with Arsenal.
Lamps yesterday jetted out to see Marian Kovacevic, who has fled her clinic in the Serb capital due to the media attention and reports she is not licensed to practise.But SunSport can reveal she continues to work.
