Its a very interesting situation at left back now...there are a lot of options

We could move Vermaelen across and bring in Senderos or Silvestre to centre half

We could Play Traore

We could switch Eboue over to the left side, where he has done ok before
We could play Silvestre at left back

Personally i wouldnt want to disrupt the centre half pairing of Gallas and Vermaelen as they are doing so well

For me it would be either to just play Traore who is a capable replacement, or put Eboue in at left back...Im leaning towards Eboue slightly just because of his experience and his fitness will be better

Do you remember what happened when that last happened? Wigan at home wasnt it? i dont think putting Eboue on the left is the answer at all! Ill give it to him he has been a massive imporvement on the right side this season and has been putting in a hell of alot more effort, but on the left he is a nightmare...

I also hate to think of the idea of Sylvestre getting in the team. his very presence on the bench worries me! The only solution in my view would be to bring traore in. I dont think breaking up the 2 centre halves when they are doing so well would be the best of ideas and Traore needs to proove himself and now is his chance!

I think Eboue is a half decent leftback, problem has tended to be when he is a leftwinger rather then shuffled across the back line so would go with him. Silvestere has looked utterly uncomfortable when asked to play there and don't want to disrupt our current cb paring

Those putting comments on here about right footers playing at left back seem to have forgotten about how well Flamini did when he played there. Not left footed, not a full back, but he did a good job so it can be done. In fact we'd not really taken to the bloke before he played at left back whereas afterwards he was seen as a pretty decent player. I don't want to see Tweety there v Sunderland, or Billy or TV5 who have to play together in central defence so give it to Traore let's hope he does OK.
