HENRY AND GALLAS ROB THE IRISH!!!?

I don't blame Henry for what he did - anyone that has ever actually played competitive football knows how fast things happen on the pitch and players tend to react to try and make some type of contact with the ball in a split second. I've done it myself; I actually scored a goal with my hand once. Fucked if I was gonna ask the ref to disallow it - my team mates would have battered me!

Henry reacted instinctively. It happens. Henry is an Arsenal legend. End of. I can't think any less of him now.
Nice post mate, good to see some common sense overtaking all the knee jerk emotion thats flying around even though you must be gutted.

Firstly - Radford, Given the ammount of fucking childish whining you have done on here recently you should probably just shut the fuck up - you sound (read) like an irritating gobby 10 year old arsehole in the school playground. But then, you always have, haven't you?

On to the match etc. We were robbed. Deffo. But more so by that useless crunt Keane and the two sitters he fucked up by trying to be a clever crunt and the sitters missed by Duff and that manc shite O'Shea. We were by far the better team and deserved to win, but we blew our chances and THAT was the real decider, not the nature of the French goal. We should have had the game wrapped up in the 90 TBH because I always suspected the French would score at least one at home. We should have killed the game off but didn't. It's a sickener.

I think we (the Oirish) are now in danger of becoming ridiculed in football in a similar way Engerland are for their hilarious 23 year whine about Maradona. We should just drop it now and move on.

We still have alot to look forward to next summer; Hopefully some great football, Engerland talking up how they will win it, then getting knocked out on pennos, then their scumbag travelling "fans" wrecking the place and hopefully getting the shit kicked out of them by riot cops, then the Engerlish "media" and "press" going on the usual witch hunt after the manager... etc etc blah blah blah...
Top post DB10!!! finally some sense on here!

Without provoking further reaction I've just stumbled on this fact whilst talking at work. Did Henry actually score? no, it was in the lead up to the goal.
So the goal was there to defend.

So if, and this is were we talk about IFs and BUTs, if Henry correctly played the ball without the use of the hand. The goal would have stood.
Therefore......who the fuck leaves Gallas unmarked on the 6 yard line with the goal open?!

Cheers lads. I should also point out that I used to always cheer on the England team at tournaments (especially when we had Gunners in it) but the increased scummy racist, violent and xenophobic behaviour of a huge number their fans and the type of mercenary crunts that currently play for them have really put me off them. The thought of Ferdinand, Terry, Cashley, Lampard, Gerard the diver, Rooney the worse diver etc winning the world cup is just sick.

The difference between us whining about the Maradona incident and last night is pretty stark.

He robbed us of a decent shot at ACTUALLY WINNING THE WORLD CUP.

Your shower cant even fucking qualify for it.

There are some really great posts on here especially by BDB and DB10 to name just a couple, I really feel for the Irish, and especially the fans from Ireland who went last night, Pal Lydersen of this forum for one, and gave brilliant support throughout (by the sound of it), but Ireland should have been 4-0 up by the time of the French dodgy goal...

Anyone else think it's ironic that Trapattoni is questioning the honesty of the referee when both as a manager and player he was a beneficary of dubious - and subsequently proven to be dishonest - decisions by officials that had been actually bribed!!!!

At least this referee - who most rational people would agree had a good match - just made an honest mistake (probably because he couldn't see it from his position), albeit an important and, for the Irish in particular, a heart-breaking one.

The day after the night before, I apologise for calling Henry names. He is and always will be an Arsenal legend.
I blame the linesman for not flagging for a blatant offside against two French players. It should be easy to see players offside when it is a free kick. They were not running through on to a pass, they were pure and simple offside and the linesman should have seen it.

This is my final post on the subject unless someone calls me a whinger

FFS Irish Gooners, stop fucking moaning we were robbed no one is denying that, but we are starting to sound like the moaning English tabloid racist press, and the sore losing Ingerland fans.
Fact is we are out and thats that, but we can still sit back and enjoy the world cup safe in the knowledge that Ingerland will fuck up as they always do, and wouldn't it be just fucking magic were a current Arsenal to put them out in highly controversial circumstances. :barscarf:
