Your having a laugh aren't you!goonersid wrote:FFS Irish Gooners, stop fucking moaning we were robbed no one is denying that, but we are starting to sound like the moaning English tabloid racist press, and the sore losing Ingerland fans.![]()
Fact is we are out and thats that, but we can still sit back and enjoy the world cup safe in the knowledge that Ingerland will fuck up as they always do, and wouldn't it be just fucking magic were a current Arsenal to put them out in highly controversial circumstances.![]()

By the news, reports and constant news reels about it you would have thought this was the Irish media.

Dont think Radfords online at this present moment, so you might get away with itcorkbarry wrote:The day after the night before, I apologise for calling Henry names. He is and always will be an Arsenal legend.
I blame the linesman for not flagging for a blatant offside against two French players. It should be easy to see players offside when it is a free kick. They were not running through on to a pass, they were pure and simple offside and the linesman should have seen it.
This is my final post on the subject unless someone calls me a whinger

Great point. Up til the hand ball the ref had a blinder. He got every decision right - especially the dive by Le Sulk. A shit PL ref would have bought that hook line and sinker and given a penno.I Hate Hleb wrote:Anyone else think it's ironic that Trapattoni is questioning the honesty of the referee when both as a manager and player he was a beneficary of dubious - and subsequently proven to be dishonest - decisions by officials that had been actually bribed!!!!![]()

At least this referee - who most rational people would agree had a good match - just made an honest mistake (probably because he couldn't see it from his position), albeit an important and, for the Irish in particular, a heart-breaking one.![]()

As for TH's hand ball, I agree it was an honest mistake by the ref - he was unsighted by a crowded penalty area. The linesman on the other side might have had a better view but who can say?

Does anyone have any footage of Pikemeister Keane asking the ref to award France a free-kick after any one of his handballs last night?
Gotta love the way the press are all of a sudden making out they always held Henry up as some paragon of virtue during his time with us, when in reality any time he complained of any kind of injustice against Arsenal (real or otherwise) they were quick to portray him as a “whinging Frenchmanâ€

To be honest I was deeply disappointed by the defeat last night but I have to say that I am even more embarrassed by the reaction of so many fellow Irishmen and women to this decision
As I said last night, and IHH & DB10 have also said, the ref had an outstanding game last night and should be applauded for his performance not criticised. However when your govt justice minister and radio chatshow hosts keep feeding the frenzy to the ignorant masses all we can get is the mass hysteria that is currently suffocating us
I have spoken to fans over here today who have followed the game of football for decades and I am amazed, surprised and disappointed by their reaction more than I am by the newer fans who have never been to a game in their lives

It's done. Let it go, I say.
