We didn't really turn up in the 2nd half until after they scored. Disapointing today, too many players didn't perform as you'd expect. With the obvious exception of Song who yet again was man of the match. Onwards and upwards!

Fucking internationals - just when Robin is on form and we are on fire. Goodbye unbeaten run :banghead: :banghead:
Tis ok BT"y ill come round and give ya a **** cuddle.
I was waiting for you in the Phibbers but you never showed up!

I wouldn't say it was lack of effort but they looked bloody knackered. Its Chelsea's title to lose.

we were always going to struggle in this fixture - most of our team were away on international duty, gallas and sagna played 120 mins mid week.

Not a disaster though we are still in the mix.

rest a few players mid week and come back strong against the russians
oh yeah and as gunner19 says you have to give a bit of credit to Sunderland, they played well today

song did well but trouble is hes not he essien/viera/fletcher even we need. someone box to box who can win the ball back all over and bomb forward with it.

we thought diaby would but no.

song is pretty good at what he does, ie sit in front of defence and break attacks up as they come. but hes not high energy which is what we need in games like this like those players i mentioned.

flamini and diarra did that for us (diarra when he actually got a chance)

I thought Song did do that today. In fact he did it more than i've seen before and certainly did more than Rosicky and Nasri who were both crap in the 2nd half!

And Darren Fletcher? Song is already twice the player he is, and is still improving every week.

he won the ball back in his own third then played it to others. but he wasnt all over the pitch like essien et al are hes not mobile enough and doesnt other a threat in the other box. im not saying hes rubbish just we needed someone like essien in a gam like this where the oppo where running around all the time.

i think fletcher is a very effective player. you dont play every game for manure if your not.

Shocking....

I'll never stop being surprised every time we switch from beautiful to awfull in such a small period of time... We really missed VP today. There was absolutly no urgency in our playing. Everyone was walking!!!

I don't care what people say about Walcott, at least he was Running! Don't understand why we couldn't see Arshavin on earlier. He didn't have enough time to score an odd goal which he would've been capable of. Traore worried me a bit. He doesn't look up for it. Please Clichy or Gibbs back soon!
Song gave his best, so did Verminator. they had quite a good performance I believe. If only Verminator's volley coul've gone under the bar! I would've loved it!!
Sagna needs to buy a brain an try creating a tad more before crossing. Seeing him shooting over and over again on the defender's back made me felt like I was watching a game of Brickwall.
Gallas is slowly becoming a liability in my eyes. I feel less and less reassured when he's on the ball, and he often looks clumsy.

Awwwww well! I'll blame it on the Internationals ... :banghead: :banghead:

I hope there will be a big change in attitude for the game against chav$ki. But I'm confident this was just a one off.

Common Gunners!!! Bring back the 6-1 's!

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

p.s: And VP get you god damn fockin ankle rubbed with freakin placenta cum and come back on the pitch quickly!

who said he didnt start moves? cause he did if you sit in front of your own defence its quite difficult not to start moves....

im saying he doesnt follow moves through like essien viera flamini type players, hes not box to box.

Ref + Forward 3 = Shit!!

Once rosicky and eduardu were off we started playing..

Was it a penalty on Vela? I didn't see the replay.
