The very least Theo deserves is to be judged after he's had a regular run in the team and completed a series of 90 minutes, something both Denilson and Bendtner were allowed before judgement - be it right or wrong - was passed on them. Now that would be fairer than completely writing off someone that hasn't been afforded that luxury.

Without going all Hadareud on you and according to Arsenal.com, Denilson has played in 100 games (starting 82 and 18 as sub). Bendtner has played in 106 (but only 52 as a starter and 54 from the bench)

Theo has played in 110 games (61 as a starter)

Theo was born in 1989, Bendtner in 1988, and Denilson in 1988

So why is the judgement on Theo unfair compared to the other two ?

Argue the point all you like and we will never agree. Walcott has been given more time on the back of the run at Anfield in a game we lost and the fact that he's English and scored a hat-trick in Croatia, whilst we ignore Bendtner's record for Denmark.

Because, like I said above, Theo needs a regular run of games and/or completed 90 minutes. Despite what the statistics you've quoted above suggest, Theo has had neither. Nor has he had the benefit of many (if any) consecutive starting appearences - unlike the other two. Fair enough, he's got to earn that right but hasn't been helped by the constant injuries he's suffered.

Don't be so quick to judge!!  I'm one of the few on here that has defended Nick in the past, using the same age excuse and the fact that he offers us something different from what we already have, that I've used for Theo.

I also agree that Theo is given more lattitude by some fans purely because he's English. I think that is partly to do with the fact they we have so few of them in our side and are constantly given stick about it. Naturally, that makes some Arsenal fans even more desparate for him to succeed so they give him more slack.

As for Denilson, I'll admit that I don't think he's good enough for a team aspiring to win the major trophies. However, I've come to that judgement after seeing him given a regular starting spot and run of consecutive games - again, not something that can be said about Theo.

I realise that, like Theo, Denilson's still young and he may well develop into a very good, maybe even great player. I genuinely hope he does for Arsenal's sake. Yet, from what I've seen of him since he came to the club, I don't think he has the assets to become anything more than an above average player - at the very best.

The difference as far as I'm concerned is that even from the little that Theo has admittedly produced thus far, I can genuinely say that I've seen enough to suggest that he could maybe become a great player for us oneday. 8)

He's a bit like Van Persie in a way where i think he just needs the games.

A big worry is I cant remember the last time we had a fully fit squad?

CAN ANYONE NAME THE DATE????

Well firstly the good news ! Theo gave us a colossal 45 minutes today which is at least 10 to 15 minutes more than normal. And in one galvanizing moment, he dispossed a Chav - having lost the ball to him in the first place - and ran all of 35 yards before hitting their full back, losing the ball and winding up on his bottom.

Otherwise he was Pants. And we are paying this guy £60 or £70 thousand per week for that -
:?

He came to us from Southampton and that looks to be his mark. If we were playing Hull/Burnley/Bolton ever week at home, you could just about give him a place on the team sheet.

Up against a classy team that take no prisoners - like Chelsea - he was woeful. Utterly out of his depth !

Can he turn it around ? Well he could but if he is so, to do, he must produce the greatest transformation since Ian Wright managed when he arrived from Palace. IW has his faults and frankly has been a major twat since he left us. But in an Arsenal shirt he was an insatiable goal monster, who faced every challenge head on.

Just for comedy relief after the game ended, Arsenal TV ran the Walcott Nike Ad' with our hero revving up in an empty Emirates, intercut with montages of the surging crowd urging him on. Do Nike do irony I wonder ?

If so they can juxtapose this with Tiger Woods doing Marriage Guidance councilling or TH14 on Basketball.

Yeah, I thought Theo was shocking today.

Actually, he was utter dog turd and, at the moment, he's playing the game with such naivety and lack of quality that it's a tad embarrassing

I won't write the lad off as he's been out for a long time and is still finding his feet, but he's awful at the moment! :?

Three years of pure shit. I wish he'd fuck off to Middlesbrough sooner rather than later.

Get rid of the "I always run in to dead ends and lose the ball and cannot cross for crap"

We will get a few quid, then I'd go out and get that animal and beast of a forward Carlton Cole...laugh you may...but...lets see....he is huge...massive...and powerful...he may not be a goalscorer per say.....but....get the chances on his head..in the box and one on one...and he will score more goals in his first season than T.O has in his entire crap enfused bullshit of a career

I cant stand the "kid" flog him

Yep we do call ourselves fans. But we don't bill the rest of you a kings ransom for the 'privilege' of so doing. Did you actually see todays game ? If so - what did you think ??

I agree I dont like the C word and perhaps it is harsh, but people are entitled to their opinion and in fact it is their right to call him whatever they want......he earns a bloody fortune and personally I think he is an utter waste of space.
