Cesc Fabregas - The Most Overrated Player In The Prem?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

SPURS ISNT AS BIG AS THEY AREN'T IN OUR LEAGUE ANYMORE.

IT DOSENT MATTER WHERE THEY ARE IN THE LEAGUE NOW ITS A GAME THAT WE SHOULD BE GETTING 3 POINTS OUT OF ALL THE TIME.......

ALSO ITS FUCKING NOVEMBER THE LEAGUE CANT BE WON IN NOVEMBER AND HISTORY PROVES THEAT THE RUN AFTER CHRISTMAS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SO THE SPUDS GAME THIS YEAR WOULDNT COME UP EVEN IN THE TOP 10 OF IMPORTANT GAMES IN A SEASON JUST DUE TO THE DATE....

THE SAME CANNOT BE SAID FOR MANCS, CHAVS, SCOUSERS....OR SOME OF THE BIG EUROPEAN SIDES.

CESC IS OVERRATED. STILL WAITING FOR THE GAME.....ARGUABLY VAN PERSIE WAS BETTER AGAINST SPUDS....SO WANT A GAME......

A GAME WHERE HE OUTSHONE EVERONE ON THE PITCH OR WHEN THE CHIPS WERE DOWN SHONE THROUGH...

PROVE ME WRONG.

Today convinced me that he WILL be gone by the world cup...

and there was one incident in the latter stages of the game...the third goal went in....he then just strolled around waiting for the whistle to end it....straight down the tunnel and i guess out of there as quick as he could....

For me...i saw a man who knows he will not be lifting a trophy this season

It is a gd thing 4 this club if he goes.

We get 50 million 2 beef up our team.

He leaves and isnt a bad influence in the dressing room.

He hasnt been any gd this yr neway, hes not as gd as every1 tinks he is.

Also its lyk when th14 left, everyting dont have to go thru 1 playa, so we play better.

Bren your argument is fundamentally flawed.

You are asking for one game game where Fabregas proved his worth. That's complete bollocks. He has done it time and again. It's gotta be the booze eh?

Not cool son, not cool. :?

Knew this one would come up and it was his best game in an important match.....but Diaby was better on the night.

Spurs at home, really isnt as big as it once was, and also the opposition were pure shite and as i said in previous post gave him acres of space to play his own game.

IM NOT SAYING CESC IS A BAD PLAYER IM SAYING HE'S OVERRATED.......AND HE IS.

If he was the player that everyone claims he is, this wouldn't have been the case.

And I'm not buying the "he's only as good as the players around him" line. Wright shone through in a team of utter dross, and I'd imagine that Henry and Bergkamp would've shown their class in amongst a bunch of losers as well.

To say that Fabregas can only play well if there are only good players "supporting" him simply reveals his limitations.
And I think you'll find it wasn't. Fabregas scored the winning penalty that knocked out Italy in the 1/4 finals and obviously did enough in the rest of the games he played in to impress the Uefa technical team, as he was voted by them among the top 23 players of the tournament!!

Ive never asked for a game where he's proved his worth....read the posts

I've asked for a really important (for agrument case call: SIGNIFICANT) game where he has been the shining light, the saviour, THE MAN OF THE MATCH.

I dont disagree that Fabregas is a brilliant player, it just this "Fabs is the only class player" talk is pure shite!!!!!!!!!!!

And this season he's had only two games where you could say he was the best gooner on the pitch, spurs and az alkmaar.........HOW SIGNIFICANT WILL THESE GAMES BE AT THE END OF THE SEASON :?: :?: :?:

No alcohol needed to look at the facts.

I NOTICE THE LONG LIST OF GAMES WHERE HE HAS BEEN THE SHINING LIGHT HASN'T ARRIVED........

If he's as good as you all go on about why dont i have a long list of games?

The heat would deter them. That or they'd never make it past the beach they land on. Too many nice distractions.

Oh you poor little Bren.

As asked for, a hugely significant CL game away to AC Milan.

One man dominted that game, ran it from front to back except he wasn't really a man, a bit of a boy to be fair, innit?

Still that's not enough eh? Run him down some bruv...........

I think 10 assists this year speaks for itself and if Cesc had a
brick s%ithouse next to him he would feel more free plus some extra quality in the team we would see a lot more from him. Instead he know's he is the only one that can produce the final ball and is trying to do everything. I have got used to Arsene selling our best players i am now resigned to Cesc going in the summer. I mean if you were at work and you wanted to move up the ladder but you were stuck with deadbeats (bit like where i work at the moment) and management done nothing to rectify the situation you would look elsewhere

Watch the game again mate, I've still got it on my sky+ as it is my favourate game in the last 5 years, and Diaby was just as good, Fabs was class and scored that goal but diaby was the player who really bossed the game not fabs....look at the space he got for goal.

Im not taking anything away from him in that game because he was class but for me diaby in that game was the star. And i havent really run the guy have I? I said he is brilliant for fuck sake

OVERRATED IS MY POINT. NOT SHIT, OVERRATED. (read it as its wrote, and dont over exaggerate my point)

FUNNY HOW PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING TO COME UP WITH MORE THAN TWO GAMES
