, I'd like to agree with the OP. Fab is a great natural talent, but for me he hasn't been doing it week in, week out for most of the last couple of seasons. He's had patches of good form, but for much of the time he looks drained. For every killer pass, there are many attempts going astray.
Yes, I know he's young, but you're getting picked for Arsenal, you're going to be judged by what you do on the pitch, not how old you are.
I'm not saying he's crap per se, just saying that he's overrated in terms of not consistently producing his best week in, week out. Now I think about that, I feel a new thread coming on...
I think it's hypocritical that some players can play poorly and have it excused as it's "because of the crap players around them", yet some players play poorly and they are just seen as crap. It's like the players who are "favourites" have excuses made for them as people would rather not admit that the player's form is inconsistent.
