It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.
If anyone saw SoccerAM this morning, would agree Balotelli is needed in Jan! Not that its going to happen mind you. Also, Valencia weren't in the CL so David Villa is a goer!
I think that even if you've played some part in this season's Europa Cup - which Valencia have, I believe - then you won't be allowed to play in the Champion's League. So David Villa isn't 'a goer' for that competition, in the unlikely event that we were thinking of buying him.

Much as i would love us to buy Villa, i think there is absolutely no chance of it happening.. the guy practically touted himself to us pre Euros when we could have got him for a reasonable price and we just blanked him like he was a second rate dreamer wanting to play for us.
Wenger would never pay the super inflated price he is now, even if he could afford to, it would be like admitting he made a mistake when he originally ignored his come and get me hints..
I don't know who we will end up with but i would be shocked if we were looking beyond the £15m mark and i'd be surprised if we spend more than £10m, which doesn't leave us with a whole lot of quality to pick from..
Reading some of the interviews Wenger gave yesterday, it appears he is as reluctant as ever to buy someone, believing that what we have is good enough.

The sad thing about it is, you know he couldn't possibly believe that and come the end of the season if we fail miserably again it could cost him his job...
So this all consuming goal to create more profit for the club has and will taint his footballing legacy, the laughable thing is the new manager will come in and spend all the money and more that Wenger has been stockpiling over the last few years and probably bring success..so Wengers tightness will have served no purpose but to cut his own throat...
