Apart form Fabregas Diaby was our best player today he made runs got stuck in and gave good passes yet some people say he was awful and should not be playing for us. :?

Watch the game again and see how well he played and don't watch him with the hatred of him that some have.

Great win today! Absolutely fantastic performance by Cesc. Song and Diaby were also immense today. Hope Cesc will be back for midweek even though we may be able to get a win without him. Bring on Pompy!!

Yeah i understand what you're saying. I suppose if there is one negative to come from the fact that we suddenly find ourselves 4 points off the pace with a game in hand is that it might make Wenger a little more relaxed in the transfer market than say 4 weeks ago! And i was in no way having a go at Augie's right to complain! Like i say, i often agree with his posts, but the time to be negative is the next time we fucking blow it to some 2nd rate outfit (Wednesday night?!) and not after you've just beaten a very decent side 3-0! Lets enjoy!

Wonderful win and as wenger said it was massive for the team.

We can finally say cesc is a captain,he came on clearly injured and still has the ability and determination to do that :shock: just amazing

theo looked much improved and showed some real effort (especially when putting dunne on the floor :lol: ) and done excellently for the second goal.

Diaby was a bit up and down but he is a goal threat..he did lose me 55 quid when he put that third goal in though :lol:

Denilson and Almunia are not good enough. :banghead:

LETS HOPE FOR A QUICK RETURN FOR CAPTAIN CESC

Considering on paper our weaknesses, at the back, play into Villas hands, we did bloody well today.

Forget individual errors and players who should or should not be in the team .... you would have bitten anyone's hand off for 3-0 this morning.

Let's just celebrate a vital win ....

Thought the atmosphere was pretty good as well today!

it got going when cesc came on, it was pretty nervy until then. proper team effort, and a captains cameo of the highest order!

at the bottom of the table, they call that kind of game a 6-pointer :barscarf:

My ratings

* Manuel Almunia,9
* Bacary Sagna, 9
* Thomas Vermaelen, 9
* William Gallas, 9
* Armand Traore, 9
* Vassiriki Abou Diaby, 10
* Samir Nasri, 10
* Pereira Neves Denilson 9, (Cesc Fabregas, 10),
* Alexandre Song, 10
* Andrey Arshavin, 9
* Da Silva Eduardo, 9 (Theo Walcott, 10)

So who is right? The Positivists who see what Wenger has done in building up this team from a group of kids with a handful of big time purchases, or the Doom Mongers who see disaster in a 3-0 beating of the 4th placed team?

a few facts I just picked up from the BBC web site…

• Arsenal have scored more goals (82) and lost fewer matches (five) in the Premier League this year than any other club.

• Arsenal are the division’s leading scorers with 47 goals.

We might buy one more player, true, but wholesale changes at this time? I don’t think so

Rosetinters and Shittinters clash :shock: Sanga gets a 3 from projoe and a 9 from sycicsid :shock:

Regardless of how op/pessimistic you are, a home win against Villa is always a good result. A 3 - 0 against Villa is a fucking good result. Being in touch with the top of the table (1 point behind when we win our game in hand) is also pretty good considering how many injuries we've had.

Saying that, we'll fuck it up, we always do ;)

How the hell can anybody be moaning about todays performance by the whole team.

Everybody worked thier socks off today.

The back 5 worked well together, Almunia made the decission to punch balls once Carew came on ok it might look awful and there is a good chance of missing but atleast he made the dessision and stuck with it instead of not knowing what to do. Gallas did get caught out a few times by A-bong-la-whore but we had TV(and Almunia) to sweep up behind him, something that was mising from last season. The two full backs worked well and closed down the villa wingers.

The midfield looked ok in the first half without going forward much, song and Denilson played a bit to deep we needed that somebody who was able to push forward and make runs from midfield. Diaby was his frustrating best again some great bits of skill and passing but some awful passing a dession making(seems to struggle to know when to pass or what to do when he has time but I am sure it will come with a good run in the side)

Eduardo and Arshavin I think need time together as a strikers, Eddy got in some good positions but just seemed to be missing that something but kept the Villa defence on thier toes and the same could be said of AA only looked realy livley when Fabregas came on but the Villa defence always seemed to have two players keeping an eye on him thorugh-out the game.

It was an ideal game for Walcott to come into he seems to be putting more effort into tackling and trying to help out.

I would give everyone 8 out of 10 with a special mention to Fabregas & Song
