The Cardiff match was called off because of dangerous conditions outside the ground so the precedent has been set. Even a couple of inches of snow tonight / tomorrow will be enough for the elf 'n' safety brigade (a.k.a. The Police) to call the match off.
Personally I think Sting and his mates should f**k off and stick to making music!!
And I also think that a delay would be better for us; time to get key players fit and if it goes ahead tomorrow, Bolton's players will put in that extra bit of effort that teams always do when a new manager turns up.

Yeah i'm starting to think that it being called off wouldn't be such a bad idea, especially if it's played next wednesday instead as someone earlier suggested. Would give us a whole week before everton game which is saturday meaning 4 days between the weekend to midweek fixture rather than 3....(If that makes sense?!)

Was just looking at the BBC weather...

I thought all this snow business was just talk as it's been the past month or so.
Central London rarely gets hit and hasn't done so far.
However, the weather map changed from what I saw last night and although I should be okay getting to work.....I may not be getting out!

Feckin useless aren't they. This wouldn't have anything to do with safety, it is all down to the 'no win, no fee' wankers that would sue the club in an instant.
There's those anti-terror barriers which prevent any Vehicle getting near. Can they be removed?

My wife worked at a school and they wouldnt grit the pavements around the school in case someone slipped on an area they missed and sued them. This might be the reason games are called off now where as in the past they would have played themSPUDMASHER wrote:Erm.... Shovel? My mate runs a shop with a carpark in front - they won't grit the carpark for the same reason.flash gunner wrote:My wife worked at a school and they wouldnt grit the pavements around the school in case someone slipped on an area they missed and sued them. Play it! So what if some can't make it. If it's too dangerous then don't go out.flash gunner wrote:My wife worked at a school and they wouldnt grit the pavements around the school in case someone slipped on an area they missed and sued them. What would the difference really be if we were to go ahead a play the game in a half empty stadium against.....if it were to snow!

Is it more dangerous these days than it was when games were played with an orange ball?Boomer wrote:Play it! So what if some can't make it.
