MORE ABOUT DERANGED ARSENAL AWAY FANS
if rocky is deserving of such adulation i could name at least twenty more deserrving of same if not greater. tony adams for starters and you dont sing his name as much if at all.
remember rocky left when age wise he was nowhere near his peak. granted he was forced out by graham but he could have stayed and fought for his place just as paul davis did and trust me i was never the greatest paul davis fan.
rocky`s sad demise has distorted your view of his importance. that is an observation not a criticism and esp if you were of rocky`s generation an understandable emotion.

I'm not sure where Cole comes into it as I never mentioned him , so how I come over pathetic over it is slightly confusing
As for the other points, I disagree with you saying Spurs are not our rivals. Up until this season they were getting closer to us, and even now they have the potential to go on and on. Whether Ramos can help this I don't know, but they have a better base to build on than most other clubs.
This to me doesn't really matter to me. They are our rivals historically. We're in an era at the moment where traditions are being forgotten or abused on a regular basis. Traditionally we have a rivalry with spurs, in football terms they aren't as close as other teams, but it doesn't change the history of our two clubs and the relationship between them. Again, I don't see what the problem is with singing a song against them. I love reminding them who the best London club is by a mile. I also think that it's the one chant that really gets the whole stadium going so that can't be a bad thing.
Your reasons for hating United more work the opposite for me. While yes, I do hate Man Utd, I also respect them and what Fergusson has acheived for them. I also find that I can have a descent discussion with a manc fan which is something I rarely find with spuds fans.
One last thing, you claim you don't think you're a better fan than anyone. If that's the case, why did you twice call us morons for singing a song, and then accuse us of not knowing history for not knowing another. Every post you make stinks of your highand mighty attitude. As I said, you are welcome to your opinion, but you might get more people listening and even agreeing if you didn't have to put it across along with insults to huge portions of Arsenal fans who you know absolutely nothing about other than that they like one particular song.

No sorry mate, this is an example of overdoing the Rocky myth.but rocky was the gooner we wanted to be,, a player who shone when arsenal were so boring,, the one flair player in grahams team
To say that the Arsenal side 1987-92 were boring is doing them a gross disservice, they were the league's top scorers for three seasons out of four.
It's also grossly inaccurate to say that Rocky was the ONE flair player in the side - what about Charlie Nicholas, Anders Limpar, Michael Thomas, Paul Davis, Paul Merson - they could all turn a trick or two themselves.
rilo 11
any gooner sitting at a match not involving tottenham who like a sheep stands up to the call of "stand up if you hate tottenham" in my view is a moron.
and its bollocks to defend yourself on basis its the only song that gets the crowd goiing.
if you engaged your brain, you and your fellow morons would have worked out by now that "stand up if you love arsenal" would be equally effective.
if you were at all interested which you are not the tottenham song is an irritant to alot of regular fans but your agenda is to sing moronic songs that please yourself rather than songs intended to inspire the team or wind up the opposition fans which is the main point of most chanting.. how does singing about tottenham at a non tottenham game do either.
maybe if you drank real ale with its natural hops rather than be a sheep and drink mass produced gassy lager like all your mates you would be able to think straight.
baa.
as for yours and whoever else`s obsession about rocastle you are actually insulting a hell of lot of other players. just remember rocky`s contribution to the 91 championship was minimal and i agree to imply the likes of merse and limpar had no flair is crap.
and dont forget he chose to leave - he was not out of contract.

And there's the end of the discussion, as I'm trying to talk sensibly and you're just throwing insults and bringing up an arguement from what, 6 months ago, which has nothing to do with what we're talkning about now.
Bringing up what I drink to back up your arguement is so stupid I now think that you are a complete piss taker on a wind up, because you surely can't be putting that across as an arguement. So if you are on a wind up well done, you got me to bite.
Anyway, if you want to discuss sensibly then lets do it and leave the insults out, otherwise I'll say no more on the subject.
One more thing, 11 means eleven, II means two.

i know the difference rilo but if you have not noticed i cant type very well. its a fact - real ale drinkers are more intelligent. have a look around you when you show respect for tottenham and stand up for them. majority will be lager louts like you unless little kids who dont know better.
the irony is whereas i am the 50 year old fart , its you and your fellow moronic much younger lager louts who are stuck in a time warp justifying your obsession with tottenham cos of history.
and just how long are you and your mates going to bleat on about cashley.
is it not time to move on.
and if i insult you well its cos you deserve it.
if you sing stand up if you hate tottenham on saturday then you would rate in my eyes as one of the thickest morons of all time.
anyway at we can agree that it would be great to stuff the muppets tomorrow

roly,, while i agree with the stand up if you hate chant,, we' have to agree to disagree about rocky,,
also what you say about lager drinkers was really stupid,, im sure there are oldies who drink lager before matches,,just go to any pub before a game and pubs are full of them and im neither a lager or real ale drinker
but do try them
when im over,,its stout for me mostly
also im not that young but will never get over or forgive cashly as it is i still havnt forgiven ***** stapleton for leaving us in 1980

Roly at the risk of upsetting you, You seem to have a major problem with people who go away games, I'm not a big drinker but I will have a pint of Carling or 10, Does it make me a lager lout? No its the person you are not the drink you are drinking, I used to work in a wetherspoons and a lot of the people who stayed in the pub all day and night where Real Ale drinkers! Does this mean ALL real ale drinkers are purple nosed Alchi with nothing better to do than Drink until they piss themselves? No!rolypoly wrote:i know the difference rilo but if you have not noticed i cant type very well. its a fact - real ale drinkers are more intelligent. have a look around you when you show respect for tottenham and stand up for them. majority will be lager louts like you unless little kids who dont know better.

I hate Tottenham But I refuse to stand up for them in anyway shape of form and I have made my point nown in various threads including this one
But really Roly is away supporting lager louts bother you that much, get a sky dish and watch it the comfort and the safety of your own home before you have a break down!
Also I Think we will stuff the mancs
i gotta be honest. i dont like singing the stand upif u hate Tottenham chant now! boring, and sometimes i cant be bothered to stand up, and yes,i do hate the scum, at Sheffield i was sat in row C and sat the whole match, was no need to stand
and that was my 2nd ever away game ive been to! Anfield at the weekend was my 1st!

don`t have a problem outside of ground with away fans at all as dont go to same pubs as them generally.
take sheffield eg armed with good beer guide ended up at real ale pub at home of sheffield fc and if you know your football history, you`ll know all about that club`s significance.
fantastic beer great food eg pumpkin soup, only gooners there. mixed with locals terrific
same will be at villa - fantastic pub real ale thai food no lager louts. but rilo can tell you all about that.
and lager louts is aterm like gooners - it dont mean i think all lager drinkers are louts as in violent. definitely louts when it comes to taste in beer.
wait to prague next week. ok only lager but there are fantastic local pubs and beer to be found. actuallystaying at hotel in centre with its own brewery. bet all too many gooners end uop drinking gazzy fizz in irish or english ex pat pub.
call me a snob but what a waste of an opportunity.
i love my away trips.

so why not just call them what they are louts! no need to bring Lager into it?
your arguement is a weak as a spitfire real ale,
I dont like the wonder of you being played before the game as I think it is Crap and not related to Arsenal in anyway so now I get in the ground 1 minute before kick off just so I dont have to listen to it, But I dont attack people who want to sing it, its not there fault there musical taste are tasteless,
in other words no matter how much I whinge and moan its not going to make a slight bit of difference sadly
