sNOw GAME

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sky news just had live broadcast from the stadium. Snowy and icy outside the Armoury, had people blowtorching the steps up to the ground.

Said the Club is confident this will go ahead unless there is a health and safety issue (obvious really).

But when will they make a decision? :?:

Arsene says all games should be cancelled if some are, although this one would work in our advantage if we play it!

Am worried about the journey tho...... :?

DB10 - hope you and your mates are ok.

Wish they'd say one way or the other. I am going to set off in about an hour and will be royally pissed off if I am on the train and its cancelled. Feel really sorry for those lads coming from Bristol and places for Wednesday's game, but if it happens to them twice..

they better decide soon, i did hear we should know for sure by lunch time (not sure if that means 12, 1 or what? :? ), i am worried about the journey but if we could win it would be an advantage to us as basil said, so not sure what i want :?

The club said it is going ahead unless there is a massive change in weather this afternoon. Nothings forecast so no problem. It's on. Looks like we're going to sort of have our game in hand afterall!

yh, just read this, i think wenger has a good point actually:
Mr Wenger said: "If one of 60,000 people has an accident, you feel very guilty and nobody accepts anymore that the slightest insecurity could exist in our society and that is why the games are postponed when there is no real need for it."

He added: "The question you can ask is, for the fairness of the Premier League, if there are two or three games postponed, should the whole day be rescheduled?"

"Because if you play one team now who fights not to go down, and you play them again in May when they are already safe or already down, it is not the same game. That is where you can argue it is not fair sometimes for the competition."

Even with hardly any games on today I bet we still only manage 30 seconds on MOTD and we're the last one on!

There are only two PL games on today, and the other one is Man Utd so we'll defintely be on second unless our game finishes 10-9.

BTW is there any chance the club will confirm if the game is definitely on? The absolute latest I can leave is 1 and that will get me in my seat with about 5 mins to spare if there are no fcuk ups. :?
