The thing is though, that person would be the exception to the rule because, as I've said, my experience of things on here is that the 'realists' generally question your views but not the sentiment behind them.

What I seem to find lately is that many new people to the forum open with a thread of their own saying along the lines of "Oh, I've been reading for a while and I can't stand the negativity, you don't know how lucky we are etc etc etc. Then they make a few more posts and I feel on the whole get reasoned explanations as to why some of us have a negative vibe. They hang around a while and either stop posting altogether or tail off to infrequent posts.

Personally I don't really post too many idea's on Arsenal any more. Many many topics have been done to death and beyond and they always resurface every 3-6 months.

I like the piss take on here, there are some funny fuckers about and to be honest I look for that more than anything team related round here.

i agree with you, rosetinters tend to question the loyalty of a few pessimists (something i never did, for example), but the fact that we are the minority here and our opinious are usually laughed makes the more 'explosive' of us say some stupidities... like a lot of pessimists do, btw.
