Returning players like a new signing

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i'd still like to see a goalkeeper brought in, though.

Has it dawned on Wenger yet that we've been recently playing well precisely because likes of Wallcott and Bendtner have been out for some time now?

Being out of action for weeks is not going to suddenly turn those two (average/bellow average) players into a world class signings we desperately need if we're serious about being title contenders...

so you think that with a full squad injury-free we're still not good enough??

you think that almunia; sagna, gallas, vermaelen, clichy; song, fabregas, nasri; rosicky, rvp, arshavin is, as you say, an "inconsistent, under achieving" squad???

damn, you are a sad person!!!
What team EVER has a totally injury free squad? NO ONE!!!!!! You have to have the players to cover the inevitable injuries of a hard season
exactly. agree completely with you. that's now what he said though:
new, inconsistent, under achieving players....... the type that that they were before they got injured!!
do you think that nasri, clichy and van persie are underachieving players?? i think they are top class.

but i'm just a rosetinter 8)

bG...you are insane!

TeeCee was saying the Bendnter and Walcott are underachieving and inconsistent, not the whole damn squad.

Just because you put nice avatars on here, doesn't mean you can't be taken to task

So in other words wenger is relying on lady luck so he won't have to spend money.....new signings my arse, one day it will dawn on old wenger that spending a few quid isn't going to ruin us or stump the development of the youngsters, which he is doing it himself.

Ah well onward and upward......... :x

Wenger is full of shit - I argued on here in august 2008 that he will never spend money bringing the squad up to the necessary level no matter how many transfer windows the guy gets     :banghead:

You cannot spend what you do not have and despite what the board say, there is no way Wenger has £30m or so to spend and is just sitting on it.

That is the (same old) problem with Wenger and the Arsenal squad. Yeah he may have made £40m from the sale of Barndoor and Kolo but around £25m of that has already been spent and the rest has been tied up in either securing the contracts of existing players or servicing the clubs debts in the balance sheet.

read the article again, marc. he talks about the players that are injured, "like walcott and bendtner". he does NOT mean only the two. if someone misunderstood the topic it's teecee then
