Knowing Denilson he would probably jump sideways. On a positive note, at least we know he wouldn't jump far enough to make it.

Specifically in respect of the three goals conceded.

I'm not a fan of his and he made a couple of dodgy clearances but if people are attacking him over the goals I think it is a bit unfair. On the first one he had to go for it. If he hadn't then Park would have had a dead cert tap in anyway. It seems to me he was damned if you do and damned ifyou don't on that one. The other two were good goals and he never stood a chance with either.

I totally accept that he is not good enough to be our regular No.1 however, I think it is a bit unfair to attack him today for us losing.

Especially when there are so many others out there that deserve it more!
Agreed Spuddie.

Almunia wasn't good today but the problem was most of the clowns in front of him.

For the first goal Clichy, Nasri and Denilson looked like lads having a knock-about in the park.

For the second goal - it was our corner for f**k's sake. The midfield showed no urgency to get back especially Denilson.

For the third goal - the midfield and defence should never have allowed that much space to develop.

For his dodgy kick out - what the f**k was that idiot Eboue doing throwing the ball to his keeper??? All defensive coaches will tell you that throws like that MUST go up the line.

The problem at Arsenal is the same sub-standard players over and over again and the lack of real hunger in so many of our players. And - Arsene's failure to address those all too obvious problems.

I think we'll still get a top four spot but we definitely will not win a trophy this season.

Oh well.......at least the loan is getting paid off nice and quickly, never mind the team. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
oh shut the fuck up with the gloating 'proved what a lot of us already believed to be the case'

we are good enough, and we could have won the league, or at least gone the whole way. it doesnt matter if weve lost against man u and chelsea, in the 08 season out of the top four mini league we finished first, but we finished 4th overall in the league. those games have no difference. stop being so over dramatic. its all the other games against the mid table and lower league sides that count.

this team is good enough to win the league if it wasnt for the stupid mistakes some players make from time to time which has ultimately cost us points.

just fucking depressed, this will take fucing weeks to live down, i can handle defeat but to be honest we looked second rate to manure today, their workrate is 1st class and rooney is on another planet compared to our forwards of that there is no doubt.

I wonder if it is all about respect, fergie sets his team up (patched up as well, no ferdinand, vidic) and gets his team fired up and they work their socks off and attack us like their lives depend on it, this for their manager no question.

Wenger tries to fire up our lads in very much the same way but gets a lacklustre display that lacked desire, passion, aggression and all the other ingrediants needed to beat top teams when they themselves are playing well.

Manure like any othe team can have their off day but 9 times out of 10 they raise it 2 levels for other title contenders and slap them down.

Well....................we were well and truly BITCH SLAPPED today..................................que cheque book :?

I'm trying to find my words but after todays performance... Lets say I don't feel very inspired.

Same old, same old! But hey! Wenger tried to buy David Villa and Chris Smalling! We got none and we go to stamford bridge next week! Hum.... I wonder how this will end...

Agreed. Song plays a far simpler "disruptive" game now and it has helped him come on. He seeks to break up oppo play and then distribute the ball to our attacking players quickly. This simplified role suits him.

The times he looks bad are when he tries to dwell on the ball or pick out a killer pass. He doesn't have it in his game. He is effective at what he does now but only against lesser teams. He isn't shit, but he is average. No more, no less.

Denilson is just very poor technically (for a Brazillian too!). His passing is rancid, he cannot tackle and he has no pace whatsoever.

Almunia ALWAYS makes a mistake v ManUre
as has been said for the first he had to do something or Park would have scored at the backpost
I can't remember almunia making a single save - pretty much every shot went in

so depressing
I'd put denilson's game today alongside Kevin Campbell v Bolton in the FA cup and Song at Craven Cottage
one of the very worst performances in an Arsenal shirt ever

couldn't believe he came out for the 2nd half - huge mistake by Wenger imo

just rewatched the 2nd goal denilson strolls back scandalous

and whats happened to clichy - he's made two average players in young and nani each look like fekking ronaldo
he's on shocking form

Really pissed off with that result tonight. I thought we could have got a result out of that game, we had chances, its just that they finished theirs and we didn't.

Our team definately has its holes and is not good enough to win this league IMO. However i dont agree with all this.. 'name your price for rob green' and 'get 'kenwin jones' shit.

I think that spending our money on shit like jones who scores fuck all would be a bigger error than not buying at all.
I dont think we'll get anyone tomorrow and I think we'll finish 3rd. But I still believe in Wenger, the man is a top draw boss and this result doesn't change that for me. We cant compete in terms of wages with the super rich chelsea and the debt gambling man u.

Lets see what happens next sunday. Im still hoping for 7 points from these 4 games.. which means 2 wins lol

Arsene admits we were poor?? How big of him to accept that we werent good enough today? What about against Villa? We werent good enough then either?

And are we going to spend any money - oh no Wenger says? And then the Sky sports pussy doesnt ask the next question - WHY NOT? No he says thanks Arsene and closes the interview?

I think we are at that stage again - nearly men - how did we go from a team with players like Henry - Bergkamp - Pires etc to this current bunch of wannabes? Can anyone seriously believe Wenger included that Eboue, Denilson, Walcott, Bendtner are going to get us silverware? We used to spend good money if not top money on players and now we only scratch about for free transfers and kids on the cheap? In this day and age you really need a couple of marque players to compete.

We really only have Fabregas and the jury is out on Arshavin in that mould - the rest are just not quite there? Does anyone else believe that Fabregas will not be on his way to Spain at the end of the season? Great another £40-50 million in the bank - great business but no progression?

We have had money slushing around for years - Vieira -Henry - Toure - Adebeyor and what have we spent? In comparisin ....nothing.

This season is petering out already - after being so elated just over a week ago I now feel completely deflated - I believed the hype that we were equipped to challenge and that perhaps my thoughts on Arsene were misguided but everytime I question my judgement we revert to type?

4th place may come under threat yet if we dont improve?

Im fed up of the constant lies from all levels at the club - starting with the promises of being able to compete in the transfer market once we moved away from Highbury into the concrete bowl to the pronouncements by Wenger only 3 weeks ago that we needed to bring in a striker in this window? We are treading water and its a dangerous game - as much as i appreciate that in the real world we need to keep our debt levels in check we do still need to at least compete in the champions league every year to keep the revenue coming in. If we are not careful we will struggle to service the debt we have at all !!
