It's always a possibility.
All my comments are made with the assumption that we won't win the CL. Let's face it, if we face your lot or Chelski, it's game over.

If we win the CL, Arsene will still have to keep pace with the title race next season

True. We can be embarrassed by Chelsea n Man U in the league but still win the Champions league.. However we have been lucky with the CL draws so far.. lets pray the italians knock them out of Europe!

I think the Manc has it right. We're not going to win the league by changing managers at this stage, it's far more likely to destabilise us and risk our top 4 place and possibly our chances in the Champions League. Also wouldn't really be fair on the guy coming in on a bit of a lose-lose situation, nothing really to gain except a long shot at the Champions League.

The best managers are available at the end of the season, it's the best time for the stability of the team and club to change managers. If we haven't got within two wins of the title and have challenged until the last three games or made the CL Final then we should have change.

Trouble with that is few ways of protesting after the season has ended I guess.

The majority of people who go are now day-trippers, tourists, jcls etc who have joined the bandwagon and know nothing about Arsenal pre Wenger, so they wont say anything bad about Wenger will they. So what if you aint in the majority anyway, are the majority always right? No

The time has come for "WENGER OUT" and "SACK THE BOARD" banners. Wenger's reign is over and he must be made aware of it. It is imperative that he goes before the summer, in order for a new pair of hands to come in and take the helm, and reassure the players that things will change, and give them a chance to believe in the new manager.
Any player who then still wants to leave in the summer can go and good fucking riddance to whoever they may be.
To say Wenger should be given a chance to sort things out in the summer is ridiculous, ffs how many chances does he need. The world and his wife can see the glaring inadequacies in the squad, and indeed in Wenger himself, that's why there can be no more chances.
Thanks for the memories Arsene, but unfortunately thats now all we have, and they are becoming more and more tainted with each pathetic excuse and dismal performance.
I was thinking about this issue earlier,i've seen the "Arsene knows" banners and other pro-Wenger signs at AG,would anyone be allowed to take a "Wenger out" one in a display it?

I'm not saying i would do it,but i just wondered if it would be allowed to be on show, freedom of speech and all that,no doubt the PR machine would have it taken down in a flash, but this might be the only way to get thru to AW and the board, the "vote with your feet and dont go/renew" dont work for me,as there are 25,000 + registered members who would snap the ticket up no problems.

The press would pick up on it, it would be brought to his attention.

And there would be 25,000 ready to snap up tickets if people "voted with their feet" against Liverpool.... but what if enough people pledged to boycott a game vs Hull or Wigan or something?

What about a "Bring Back David Dein" Banner or a "We want a Manager not an Accountant" Banner ??? Or a Balance Sheet 07/08/09 to hang over that massive gap on club level where previous Trophys are celebrated?? Just a thought

Now, I'm quite sure that if anyone starts singing Wenger Out on wdnesday night will be in minority....but what if: (pure speculation of course):

- We lose or draw on wednesday night?
- We lose or draw at Shite Hart lane?
- We lose or draw at Stoke? (happened in last two visits)
- We lose or draw at Birmingham?
- We fcuk up one of 'easy' home games?

...and then in April

- We lose at home to Citeh?

Would those shouting Wenger Out still be in minority?

If answer is YES, then we deserve everything we get.

Just to repeat, I don't think such run of bad results will happen, but this is as likely IMO as us winning all remaining 13 games.

Thing is, proven, 'great' managers are rarely available. There's a good chance that Hiddink and Mourinho will be available this summer - if you wanted to try to get one of the best, then this summer is the time to do it. If Wenger carries on next year and wins nothing again and we see pretty much the same as this season, if he doesn't sign a new contract, we'd be left looking around for a 'great' manager with the two mentioned above likely to have already got new jobs this summer. (Maybe not Mourinho, but quite likely if he was to win the CL this year).

This is a massive summer for Arsenal in many ways, if we're to get rid of Wenger, I agree with others, he'll never be sacked but may walk by 'mutual consent', then we would be in with a shout of getting either Hiddink or possibly Jose. If Wenger stays, then it will be interesting to see if he sticks to his word about forgetting the youth project and revising his whole idea of how to do things. The thing is, it's not just about buying players, I'm sure he will go out and buy at least two, we need established top quality players and there has to be a big question mark around him doing that whatever happens.

Hiddink's over rated but Mourinho would definitely be a good shout for us as I think he would love to walk into another London club and piss all over CSKA just as a :finger: to Abramowich.
