PRAGUE - CHUNKYS 3 DAY TOUR !!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

enjoy reading tonight drinking your crap chemical filled lager singing songs about the scum and cashley.

and to the one who made a comment about me being a moron going to wrong airport. thats partly the point. of course it was moronic. at least i know it.

drinking gassy mass produced lager, standing up for scum, still singing songs about cole, going to prague to drink at fake english and irish pubs
is all moronic - only you dont know it.

as i said before most of you remind of sheep -so baaa baaa to you all

I have managed to get the Welshman off my back for one minute to just point out that U flecku and the pub on the monsatery grounds can both be described as tourist traps, although they may have excellent beer. Just because you go out of the way doesn't mean you don't find tourist traps.

I generally try to find something that doesn't have a listing or 10000 answers on google! Or just go somewhere to have a sing-song.

Still rolypoly, wouldn't expect you to go into a side-street bar out of the way if it doesn't have it's own micro-brewery - even if it does provide a true sense of Prague! Or maybe you did - I wouldn't want to assume anything about a fellow Arsenal fan!

Don't worry rolypoly - give me a bell and not only will I make sure that you make it to the right airport, I will help you find the courage to face going into a real czech pub and get pissed with the locals.

Now, if I'm a fish can I be a piranha :?:

very good galasso. you are right esp about u flecku but thats why i mentioned it although still worth a visit i think.

the monastery pub. a tourist trap? arguable. you`d have to try it out prices above average but bloody good beer.

to be honest we operated from camra`s good beer guide to prague but
done many a side street bar in czech over the years. blimey i`ve been tooing and froing that part of world since 1990 but gladly go for local pub crawl with you next time around.

my response stems fromchunky referring exclusively to great times at fake irish and brit pubs. had he said he`d experimented with local boozers local beer local food but didn`t like it nothing for me to bleat on about but he didn`t.

still say making a beeline for such places is moronic.

I dont understand the obsession with real ale. Surely if a gooner goes to prague (or anywhere else for that matter) has a good time, gets to the match and gets home in one piece it doesnt matter if they visit English, Irish or Czech bars why is drinking "gassy mass produced lager" such a bad thing? Enough of us drink it so cant be that bad i guess. I agree Wayno Roly seems like a wind up merchant to me. Heres to more of the "Aussie" lager Fosters :)

I'm with Wayno! All good forums need characters and he is certainly one. Not quite sure whether he comes on here to deliberately wind people up or not, but all the same, this thread was enjoyable to read because of him (only just looked at it for the first time).

With all that said, I think he should lay off Chunky et al a little as, even though I consider myself a well travelled person for my age, if I were going for a European away game, I'd want to be where the Gooners were. If I were on holiday, it'd be different.

Lots of love,

Tony 'forum pacifist' Saunders

I'm with UFG on this one. I think there are two many characters on this forum and not enough quiet stability. Too many Alex Higgins not enough Terry Griffiths :!:

Well done UFG - you shandy-drinking southern softy :)

Nah, he's not too big on the whole Catholicism thing any more. After Westwood was dropped from MTV, he's discovered a new passion...
