Solksjaer and Sheringham's injury time heroics in winning the CL was also a very, very low moment, as they were our bitter rivals back then
Yeah the whole end of the 98/99 season, but Hasselbaink’s late header stands out. The FAC semi replay was still a fresh wound but winning the league ahead of the Mancs would have all but wiped that out. Just that feeling of having to rely on the scum to do us a favour in the last game & knowing we’d just handed the c*nts the double when it was ours for the taking - back to back as well. Them mugging Bayern was the shit-stained cherry on the cake. For all you have to grudgingly give them their dues for doing the treble they should have won fuck all that year. :banghead:

To be honest the CL final in 06 all felt so surreal it didnt even sink in properly until at least a few days later. I remember on the night feeling more proud of the performance than gutted, was more numb than anything else. Villareal's last minute penalty in the semi was simultaneously one of my lowest & then highest moments as a Gooner though! Never been so up, then so down, then back up again that quick since **** made that brief cameo in my favourite lesbian porno!

Executive boxes on the CE.

The NB being knocked down.

Last game at Highbury.

There will always be a great game to balance out the bad ones but for me these three things will never be replaced.

Arsenal 1 vs Real Zaragoza 2, European Cup Winners Cup Final-May, 1995

Arsenal 1 vs Manchester United 2, FA Cup Semi Final Replay-April, 1999

Leeds United 1 vs Arsenal 0, League-May 1999

Arsenal 1 Liverpool 2, FA Cup Final-May 2001 (The most one sided cup final of all time and we bloody lose to that Mickey Mouser)

Bolton Wanderers 2 Arsenal 2, League-May 2003

Arsenal 1 Chelsea 2, Champions League Quarter Final-April 2004 (Possibly the worst of all, still upsets me one of the greatest club teams I have ever seen never won the European Cup)

Manchester United 2 Arsenal 0, League-October 2004 (the end of the 49ers due to that prick Riley and shrekface)

Arsenal 1 Barcelona 2, European Cup Final-May 2006 (That did feel like the end of an era as well)

Birmingham City 2 Arsenal 2, League-February 2008 (Just everything about it, Eduardos injury, onslaught of their goal, Their penelty that never was, Gallas throwing a strop....you just knew that was it)

Liverpool 4 Arsenal 2, European Cup Quarter Final-April 2008 (Far too much of an emotional rollercoster to take during 90 minutes and ending with a crushing blow)

I haven't included Man Utd from last season as we were pretty much outplayed and wasn't gutted after losing, more dissapointment at lack of fight. Galatasary didn't bother me too much for some reason. The sales of Merson and Henry were lowpoints in transfers for me too, leaving Highbury was horrible as well but twinged with excitement of the new ground and the european cup final round the corner

1. Champions League Final. TBH, it looked over as soon as Eto'o had scored - you just knew they would get another :( . We held them off fantastically and looked absolutely lethal on the break, if it wasnt for some poor finishing from Freddie, Hleb and (in a situation i would expect him to score from), Henry :(

2. The 4-2 against the Scousers in the CL a few years back. After the euphoria of our goal - Theo's run and how Adebayors shot seemed to take forever to hit the back of the net we fucked it up a minute later. Never been so low after being on such a high.

3. UEFA Cup Final 2000. Not really a significant loss but its always something thats stuck in my mind. 3 shit penalties from us.

In no particular order, they all felt just as fucking crap!!

Vs Zaragoza '95 CWC Final - After all the fuss of George Grahams departure, the fantastic win over Sampdoria in the semis, and a disastrous league campaign, I was unusually confident about us winning. To be fucked over and concede in that way just made me sick.

Vs Luton '88 LC Final - Still have nightmares about this game. We should have been out of sight before the penalty. That Cup meant so much to me after the win the year before. I was distraught!

Vs Man U '99 FA Cup Semi Final - An absolutely fantastic football match, it had everything; apart from us winning  !! I honestly believe if DB10 put that penalty away, we'd have won our 2nd consecutive double that team so richly deserved. It knocked the shite out of us. Whenever I see the replay of that Giggs goal i vision Keown clattering straight into him

Vs Chelsea '04 CL QF - To be beaten by those classless chavs was just rank, especially after losing the Semi Final of the FA Cup 3 days earlier. I really thought we'd blow the league after that, and had my Spud supporting mates saying we weren't truely a great team as we'd failed in Europe (again). If we'd won this Semi, again i believe we'd have gone all the way!

Vs Benfica '92 EC 2nd Round - Absolutely gutted after this game. It was my 13th birthday and one of the worst nights of my life!

Vs Barcelona '06 CL Final - So near...............

Vs Man U April '03 PL - That 2-2 draw at Highbury felt like a loss. They scored straight after we had, then Sol got sent off. They stole a march on us that night, and was sickening to see Fergiscum giving it large on the pitch afterwards. The Bolton game afterwards was just a kick in the bollocks after we'd been knocked out!!

Anders Limpar leaving in '94 - An absolute gem of player. Spikey & skillful. My fav player from the '91 team!

Carling Cup Final 2007 was a pretty low point.

We played them off the park. That brawl at the end was so fustrating because we were wasting our own time. Bridge rollling around after a flick on the ear. Adebayor getting sent off for nothing.

Although if Mikel was doing what he was doing to any of us we all would have gone for him.
Also can't get Liverpool in 2008 out of my mind.

I'll never forget the day that Rocky died. A real low moment for me. For such a young man to be taken so soon was tragedy.

On the pitch it would have to be losing away to Wrexham. I was so gutted that day.

Match wise there are a few that stand out -

1. fa cup semi replay v the mancs at villa pk. I was in a corporate box right over the manc scum down the end where we had that chance to win it with Bergkamp's penalty and I was down on my knee's in front of total strangers praying for the great man to score it  If there was a window that I could have opened in that box that night that I would def have pissed down on those manc scum underneath me when they won that game

2. cup final v victims in cardiff. To this day I still dont know how we lost that game :? We totally dominated them but still fcuked it up :( :x

Strangely my feelings walking out of paris in 06 was more of pride than anything else - we had got there against the odds and had battled hard with 10 men for most of the game before losing to a much fancied barca side. Of course the fact that we had a *word censored* in goals that was beaten on his near post twice and cost us the game still pisses me off cos the useless *word censored* is still our number 1 but overall the team did us proud that night 8)

I also agree with the suggestion (think steve o made it) that the end of an era is generally sadder feeling that any one game. The end of GG's era saddened me greatly - we were on a downward spiral but I didnt want to accept it (much the same way as some dont want to accept that we are now in a similar spiral with wenger I suppose) and I was greatly disappointed in the manner of his departure and the fact that he wasnt allowed to resign rather than be sacked :(
The departures of Bergkamp and PV4 signaled a sad era for me as well - both outstanding players who contributed so so much for this club 8)

Too many disappointments to list.

The first really, really gut-wrenching one was the League Cup Final v Swindon.

We'd lost to Leeds in the previous final. This was going to make up for it.

We lost 3-1 to a fucking THIRD division team. At Wembley. In front of 100,000 people. And a massive TV audience.

At that time it was the second lowest point in my life.

For all the pain of subsequent years, that semi-final from 1999 is still the most painful. We had hung on in the original game and then I just felt it would be our night in the replay. To go a goal down early, get back into it, then have that goal ruled out for offside, to see that Irish cruntrag Keane get sent off and then miss that fucking penalty which would have ruined their season was fucking miserable. The next few days were a nightmare weren't they. It also felt like an end of something and in a way we didn't really get anywhere near Manure for the next few years.

I suppose though, that misery made the league win at their place in 2002 all the sweeter.
