Carling Cup

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You had to laugh at the start, yesterday oneill was continuing his one-sided battle with AW saying man united take the CC seriously and they would field their strongest team in the final. Team sheet released... Rooney starts on the bench

Egg face. What a twat.

To be fair, Tyler & Gray always comment on the players that are performing very well at that specifc time, we get it with Gerrard, Torres, Drogba etc and we've had it with Henry, Vieria, Bergkamp etc. I remember Gray used to say that Henry was the best forward he's ever seen play in England (and in every game which Henry appeared in) and I agreed with him to an extent.

Anyway, back to today's final and my thoughts:

Vidic should have been shown red.

United hit the woodwork twice, scored twice and were overall the better team IMO.

Another bit of silverware, Ferguson's 26th whilst he's been in charge of us.

Fecking chuffed, pissed as fart and need some food in me now to soak up the booze.

Great weekend in all, City helping us yesterday was just the icing on the cake!

Ref was dire, appalling match for him, he should be hauled in front of the cameras to explain why he totally ignored the laws of the game. Then he can explain why he failed to book Carrick when he dived in, and maybe the linesman can explain how he gave Dunne offside when there were about 4 players 6 or 7 yards ahead of him!!?? Don't get me wrong, I hate Villa as much as I do the Manks but fuck me, the officials may as well have been wearing red shirts today!

Sorry was there a cup final today ?

Oh yes, the one that our u-13s enter into every year and consistently reach the last eight / four stage of. Such an honour - you must be be very proud

Shame about the Mickey's dodgy hamstrings......perhaps we won't have to listen to any more bollocks about him getting an Ing-er-lund recall. Still with Shawcunt in the squad I'm not ruling anything out

So you wouldn't care if Arsenal had just won it?

I'd be happy yes, but as you point out in your self lauded "non gloating" way you have won 26 trophies or whatever it is under Ferguson, so not quite sure why the orgasmic reaction has taken grip. Even less sure of why you felt the need to share it with fans of another team.

Course not mate - we believe you. Posting on another team's website after winning a cup. Who could possibly interpret that as a gloat eh ?

I think it's almost impossible to gloat over the carling cup. watching the united team 'celebrate' whilst being corraled around by the Wembly staff was cringe worthy at best.

Funny still was watching red nose singing 'wem-ber-ly, wem-ber-ly' when his team were singing 'champ-iaaaanie, champ-iaaaanie'
